"Whatever would make you think I wouldn't want to be there when you marry my cousin?" Lana said as she walked over to them, swishing her skirt around. "Aunt Angel wanted me to track you guys down. I'm officially on groom and groomsman duty, basically keeping you both on the timeline." she handed Ethan a padd. "Pictures are in like... an hour or so. Think you two can finish whatever you were doing before then? And Vin... mom wants you to do a quick practice with her."

"Sure... sure... just have to fix the chicken coop latch." Vin said with a wink.

"Not even here a day and you're breaking stuff... little Vin already barfed all over a nice table cloth." Lana said with a laugh. "What happened to you... you were so cute."

"I'm still cute." Vin replied with a grin.

"You're like... almost bald dude... only one that's cute on is a baby." Lana teased.

"Well, I AM in my forties squirt. Won't say which end of the forties I am..." Vin winced.

"I am going to have so much fun teasing you old man." Lana giggled and put her hands behind both of their backs. "So... Ethan... while you two are on honeymoon, do you want me to feed and brush your horse?"

[Ethan Talon]

"I'm not riding am I?" He asked dryly. "Naw, Jake can take care of himself. Besides I don't know how he'll react to you. He barely tolerates Trinity, and hates David. He might take a chunk out of your hide . If you want to play with the horses there's that sorrel mare, and black gelding in the barn. Solid horses, and that black has a soft mouth so use a hackamore on him. Otherwise he'll drive himself nuts trying to spit the bit out. C'mon Vin we'll just kick a rock over to the gate on the coop. You can fix it later. Last thing we need is either of the women folk gettin' their dander up. Present company excluded of course," he finished with a wink to Lana.

[Lana Ryder]

"Hey as long as you boys get where you need to be they'll be... well still crazy but at least they won't be getting overly concerned." Lana said and looked up at Ethan. "Trinity looks amazing. I had no idea that Admiral Rigan was so good at make up. She's doing everyone's. I loooove this shade of lipstick. First time since I've been free that I've had this much make up on and it wasn't for... something that I really want to forget later. I'm totally remembering all this."

[Ethan Talon]

"Well, remember, you are a strong woman. Never forget that. You do what is comfortable for you. I envy your strength. I was a mess when I came back from Earth. You're stronger than me."

[Lana Ryder]

"Uncle Jack thinks it's because I didn't really have much of a frame of reference to what happened... and my mind is young enough to gradually block out the worst of it. Some things still trigger some really really killer flashbacks but... like you said, I'm from a long line of strong women. Besides... holding onto all the pain isn't going to help me and it only gives Vinelli and her people a continued hold on me." she smiled and squeezed his hand. "Besides if I was my real age, I totally wouldn't be able to actually be a part of this. Mom thinks I should train to be a vet, take care of the animals. I do have a pretty good way with them, they seem to like me. Even the grumpy ones."

"Most of them liked to chomp on me." Vin said as he remembered being nipped and bitten more than a few times.

"Well, you're rough Vin... always were. You were like two when you gave me my first black eye." Lana gave him a look. "Aged forward and it still gives me twitches."

"Sorry..." Vin chuckled and kissed her head. "So how's it feel having two of us around?"

"Oh I love it... I'm finally big enough to be the 'big sister'. We were born exactly at the same time, neither of us older than the other... until now!" Lana said with a maniacal laugh.

"I'm... forty six..." Vin said with a wince.

"I'm still older than you future boy!" Lana teased.

"And this Ethan... is what twins produce. Nearly identical daughters, although I take more after my dad, she's a Ryder girl." Vin said with a smirk. "Twins aren't easy but look at what you get out of it. It's entirely possible y'know... that you'll have twins. They run in the Ryder family. Your sister's having twins. Just sayin'..."

"Una and Dua!" Lana suggested for names. "Y'know like one and two and Trinity makes three!"

[Ethan Talon]

Ethan groaned, but he had a good natured smile, "If that happens, I am running off to live with Julie's daughter." He was joking of course, but twins off the bat? He shuddered to think. Sure he raised cattle, but they weren't small humans, who often seemed suicidal in their ignorance.

[Jena Tana]

"Don't let Trinity hear you say that." Jena said as she approached them. "Speaking of the Lei's... Empress Julie is here... and she actually... approved of me dating Olivia. Did she get hit on the head or something? Or is it because I'm more Terran looking now?"

"Might be a head injury." Vin replied. "Seriously... she just approved of her daughter's girlfriend?"

"I think it's because if I actually stay with her, she won't have any more half alien children..." She said with a wink to them.
"That sounds more like her." Vin nodded his head.

"And don't worry about Kalia joining us... with her mother here, she won't, but she did send you two a huge box. Matching 'his and her's' saddles. For your horses. Not for each other."

"I'm going to pretend my innocent ears did not hear that." Lana said and rolled her eyes. "You really do look pretty without the green skin although I always thought that your shade of green was really really pretty."

"Well we figured out why... my human dna is asserting itself a bit, apparently that stuff I took was meant for full Orion not half Orion. My human father is to blame... and you lot wonder why I'm bi..." Jena said with a chuckle. "Anyway... at least we don't have to remind the photographer to not color correct me. Although... Ethan... you need make up." she pointed to a scratch on his cheek near the jawline. "That's totally going to show."

[Ethan Talon]

"And what's wrong with a scratch? I'm a man after all. I do work that causes scratches and so much worse. I had a nail tear a chunk out of my hide a few months back. I had just drove the nail into a shoe, and that palomino mare David rides decided to take her hoof back. Crap like that happens. If it's in a picture so be it."

Ethan found himself upstairs staring at a full length mirror an hour later freshly showered and shaved. He was in his tuxedo. One that Trinity had personally approved of. He figured Trinity had been afraid he'd show up in dirty Wranglers, and a cowboy hat.

Shrugging he smiled. To be fair that was his go to outfit. But, he also knew how to dress up. He adjusted his tuck, and then deftly tied the black bow tie and pulled on the jacket.

"You're really doing this cowboy," he said to himself.

"I'm impressed." Angel said as she peeked inside. "Hey... something for you." she handed him a small box. "Nathan wore this for our wedding. My dad wore it for his. His dad wore it for his. Kind of a family tradition. It's a watch that belonged to his great-great-great-great-grandfather."
