Out of the Blue... Into the Black

[Kinsey Calhoun]

Kinsey nodded in agreement and smirked.

"Except you're staying on this ship."

[Nick Ryder]

"Oh of course." Nick said as he brought up the schematic of the ship. "I've got more firepower on this ship than it's ever had. One upside to being a former President." he pointed out the multiple heavy weapon banks. "Besides, Alice would kick my ass if I had more than a bruise on my knuckles."

[Kinsey Calhoun]

"Good," Kinsey said matter of fact. "The last thing I need to worry about is whether the person I'm aiming at is you or Dominus. We can't afford to hesitate out there and I do not want to be on the receiving end of Alice's wrath."

[Nick Ryder]

"I don't plan on either of us being on the receiving end of that." Nick said and put his hand on her shoulder. "And you don't do anything overly risky, if it looks dicey, beam your butt back to this ship. Same goes for Noonian and anyone else. We're coming back with more than we left with. No one is expendable, other than maybe JR... at least he's not walking around looking like David Bowie and telling children 'You remind of the babe... the babe with the power'"

[Kinsey Calhoun]

"You know I have no idea who that is right?" Kinsey said with a laugh and a shake of her head. "So Jack as a hologram...I'm not sure I'll get use to that and why exactly am I the last to find out about that?"

[Nick Ryder]

"He's the Jack that raised your kids in the future after you were supposed to have died during the Trill mission. Kind of the reason why the future versions of your kids all showed up during that mission." Nick replied. "He looked like a variety of English rockers... AND wait a second.. you don't know who David Bowie is? Seriously? I have like five of his posters up on the wall in my garage in that little sitting area where I listen to music. That song Jack sung during your wedding, Absolute Beginners, that was Bowie." he chuckled and shook his head. "You and I are watching Labyrinth during our next movie night."

[Kinsey Calhoun]

"Ugh movie night. Do you know after the Star War marathon the kids ran around with Alex on their back dressed like Yoda welding light sabers?" Kinsey said with a disgusted face. "You're a bad influence on my children."

[Nick Ryder]

"You enjoyed it." Nick said with a wink. "Jack showed me pictures, I saw the smile on your face. At least I can finally make Star Wars references around you." he glanced at the desk. "You know I had a thought... remember... remember when Byron was taken over by Terra Pax? They somehow evaded our sensors and pretty much every thing we had to keep people out? And we were S31 at the time. We weren't totally 'out' that our little outpost was an Intel outpost, as well as a way station for Terra Alpha."

[Kinsey Calhoun]

"How could I forget?" Kinsey inquired. "I lost a lot of good people that day. What's your point?"

[Nick Ryder]

"Use their tactics against them." Nick replied. "We've got the manpower, we've got the tech. We've got the faces. Only way they could have gotten through some of our security measures is if they were actually some of us. I've spent five years trying to figure out how they did it. Always ran up against a wall, thought it was just inside knowledge or good tech or something. And we did have moles. BUT... look at how soon after that we started having rifts flare up?"
