It Ain't Easy...

[Kassie Kaine-Calhoun]

"Holding you to that Ja'Larin... known the family too long." Kassie winked. "As if I never saw you sneak in when you did your whole 'spooky' act for Nick way back when he was still an Admiral. I'm a Yeoman... I notice those things and your mind tricks didn't have to work on me, I enjoyed seeing him spit his coffee or have a mild heart attack when you'd pop out of the shadows. I even have a few of them recorded that I watch when I need a laugh."

[Kinsey Calhoun]

"Khan's transmitting our data on a secure frequency." Kinsey said as she nodded for him to transmit the location of Dominus's base. "Remember last resort."

[Kassie Kaine-Calhoun]

"Aye aye Captain." Kassie said with a salute. "Love you, mom." she said in a softer tone of voice. "When we get Jack safe, you two can come over to the ship. You should see what we did for the quarters we earmarked for you two, you've got a quarter of a deck. Totally sound proof. Fully stocked bar. Kitchen. It's home away from home. Totally not suited for the twins, Alex maybe, he's making me want to give you a grandson. He seems so... not like Jason."

[Daisy Hill]

Daisy cut into Kassie's comm. "Hey ladies... if you could... we're reading stuff on the station. Kassie, you are so turning into a Ryder it's shocking. Kinsey, we're sending some help once you make contact. Kass, love you like a sister, but keep please... do what she says and you are so not fooling anyone calling her 'mom'. You're sucking up so you can get in the fight and she won't get mad."

"I... okay fine. Busted. Fine. I'll stay back. Promise. Girl Scout's honor." Kassie raised her hand.

"You were never a girl scout." Daisy replied.

"Hill! I was... fine... Kaine out." Kassie said and cut the comm.

"Kinsey, watch out for the drones, they've got these little... I don't know what they are, but they're small and they pack a punch." Daisy said and gave Kinsey a thumb's up. "Be careful boss."

[Ja'larin Yamour]

"Define 'stuff'," Ja'larin demanded. Her right hand rested on the hilt of her kliden. "No offense, but I'm tired of waiting. Let's get this over and done with."

[Nick Ryder]

"Bastardized Borg Tech and Mig Warframes." Nick said as he walked behind Daisy. "I've seen those before. Dominus had them around when we escaped. They were inert at the time, doubtful they're that way now. I'm also damn sure he's expecting us." he put his hand on Hill's shoulder. "So... let's light this fire. Khan, Kinsey... Ja'Larin, you are go for your initial run. We'll be right behind you phase cloaked. Hard, fast, and chaotic. That's how they'd do it, that's how we'll do it."

[Ja'larin Yamour]

Ja'larin nodded grimly. Battle was inevitable, and she was glad to get it over with. "We're ready." She turned and sat in a nearby chair and crossed her legs

[Khan Noonian Singh]

"We're ready. Just keep YOUR head down too. You may be 'The Commander' but you DO know what else you are?" Khan said with a smirk.

"Yeah I know... I know... and my sister is a crier so don't die huh..." Nick said with a salute. "Kinsey, Jack is the priority on this, but taking out Dominus operations and ruining his day are the secondary primary missions... attack from the ship as much as possible until you locate your husband. I'm not holding out a ton of hope that the 'Newstead' is my Kirby but... if you can rescue others, do it. That ship can hold a lot, we can hold a lot more. We can can regroup and get people offloaded to Kassie's ship. We get as much intel as we can before we blow things to hell."

[Livvy Sandoval]

Olivia Sandoval was leaned against the corner of the cell when she heard it. She wasn't sure exactly what she was hearing. It sounded like a dull thump like someone had dropped a heavy textbook on the deck. Professor Starbreeze had been fond of those ancient books.

Livvy had to admit, the Narlin was right. That was her easiest class to study for. You couldn't make notations in the margins of a PADD.

There it was again. And a third thump. Suddenly it clicked into place. That wasn't something falling. It was something exploding!


"What the bloody hell?" Ashley exclaimed glancing around the lab. Her eyes locked with Jack's. "Is the station under attack?"

"Certainly seems that way." Jack said with a smile. "Told you Miss Pessimist that it was coming." he said with a smirk to Walker.
