"Why is everyone explaining her to me lately?" Angel said with a sigh. "Can't I just dislike her and people are fine with it? Up until last year she was the most hated woman in the galaxy. I had old women looking at me funny when I'd go shopping muttering 'oh she's Empress Lei's girl' and then someone would remind them 'she's also President Ryder's kid'... I'm a daddy's girl. Always was. Probably always will be." she closed her eyes and took her glasses off and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Sorry... I'm kind of hormonal today. Little things bother me more than they should."

"Maybe you're pregnant..." Malcolm teased from behind the relative safety of Clint Cross.

"And maybe Jon will have a new Veep tomorrow." Angel said with a slight glare. "And for that to happen, someone will have had to have had sex. Which I haven't. Since before I got tossed to the past. Long story. Figures this would HAVE to be the week that Nathan is teaching zero G operations and his blood flow is all wacky until he's been in normal gravity for a while. I really don't want to kill him."

[Kahlina Starbreeze]

"Yeah, you are a bit touchy today. Do you want to hit something?"

[Angel Ryder]

"Actually..." Angel said with a half smile. "We need to have lunch. I feel like we haven't spent more than five minutes together in ages." she sighed and guided her to the hallway. "Although honestly... what do you think... do you think she's really changed or is this just some bullshit?"

[Kahlina Starbreeze]

"No. People don't change only their tactics. Come by the Embassy you need to meet the twins. There's been something I've been meaning to ask you. Would you be willing to be the Aen Naneth to them?" She hesitated trying to come up with a translation, "God Mother."

[Angel Ryder]

"I would be honored and thrilled Kahlina." Angel said as she hugged the tall woman and smiled broadly. "'T'Kir was asking about them, Malcolm's kept her busy... of course she's Secretary of State. Her free time is pretty much nil right now. Her dates with Malcolm are romantic walks in the Compound garden's and dinners at the commissary."

[Kahlina Starbreeze]

"Oh it's really no work for you, a just in case Orphan thing you know. Of course you are certainly welcome to spend as much time with them."

[Angel Ryder]

"Of course and I entirely plan to spend time with your kids." Angel said with a smile. "I do enjoy being around them, although I'm pretty sure given how tall you are compared to me, they'll be toddlers towering over me."

[Kahlina Starbreeze]

She laughed, "No they aren't. Both Bahlia and Nicholas are only 95 centimeters. They start out roughly the size of human babies, but we continue to grow into our second, sometimes third decade."

"You named your son Nicholas?" Angel raised an eyebrow and smiled.

[Kahlina Starbreeze]

She nodded, "I did, after your father. Bahlia's named after you. Bahlia Angelica."
