Healing...
Re: Healing...
"And drank." Kalia held up the bottle. "Well that kills my plan, I was going to get him drunk and try to sweet talk him. Course my usual interrogation style involves a bit more pain if they're implacable like he is, but something tells me that he's not so easy to break. I could use Imperium techniques but I'm sure no one would want me to do that. Let me ask you something Solara, before you go... why didn't you want Cece to mind read you? Not like she's a virgin. You do know she and Underwood did quite a few dirty things together."

"Because out of all my siblings she's the only one I like." Solara said and smirked. "I doubt you'd want to watch your idol die over and over again. Enjoy the whiskey Lei. I'm going home and going back to bed."
Re: Healing...
"Fair enough. And I will." Kalia said and nodded her head. "I think Jonas will want his t-shirt back anyway. So I assume you'd want me to keep this little visit low key hmm? Do me a favor... don't fuck this up with Jonas, you're pretty much all he's got. And you're way better for him, at least you can hold your booze."

Re: Healing...
Solara bit back a retort and masked it with a pleasant smile.
“Of course not. He’s all I have too.” Solara said and walked towards the lift. “Oh Kalia when are they moving Bartyn? I want to make sure my report is in before they do.”

"No idea, just that it's in the works, I think they're prepping a place for him. Given how fast this was built, shouldn't be long. Two, three days maybe. Depends on if they try to get Jack or Kinsey or Cece to do another mind read." Kalia said and shrugged her shoulders. "Or they'll let me at him. There was a technique I used, brutal, messy and not really something I like doing but it was effective." she pulled out a long needle like pin from her hair. "Two of these in the right spots, usually results in answers or at least less bullshit. Most never really get over it from what I hear, just the threat is enough to talk."

“Well let’s hope it doesn’t come to take for your sake.” Solara said and headed for the elevator once. Wondering if Bartyn’s escape plan would work out before Lei had a chance to use her pins.
Re: Healing...
"I dunno... it's really tempting. I liked Josh and Ray, two of the guards that were killed. Nice guys, we'd do karaoke nights at what's now Leo's Club... " Kalia said with a smirk. "Kinda worth shoving these into him just to see him writhe for kicks... but I'm a good girl now. I only do it if I'm told to."

Re: Healing...
“Well in that case fingers crossed.” Solara smirked as she stepped into the lift. Her smile dropped the second the doors closed behind her. Her meeting with Bartyn had been a waste. He hadn’t jumped on her offer and he was right she really didn’t have anything to offer him. She would have to reassess and try again before they moved him.
When Solara arrived back at the condo the bottle she had reserved for Bartyn was empty. If he ever took her up on her offer she’d buy him a case of whatever he wanted.
She dropped the bottled in the kitchen trash and slipped off her shoes. Dawn was just starting on the horizon as she finished off what was left in the wine bottle before tossing it in to join the whiskey bottle.
Maybe it had been a stupid idea to see Bartyn. He didn’t know her nor was he her father. He had no reason to even consider her offer it bugged her though. She was sure she’d sense something when she had been in his head. Maybe it was just her own Daddy issues and she clung to a substitute because in another universe there was a slim chance she could still have what she’d been denied for 20 years.
“Don’t be stupid.” She muttered to herself.

"Hey." Jonas said as he walked out of the bathroom, half dressed and rubbing his head. "You go somewhere?" he glanced at her outfit. "Wondered where my shirt went." he went over and put his arms around her. "Let me guess, I'm no telepath but... you went to see Bartyn again didn't you?"

She nodded, "I didn't want to wake you."
