"So what does that all cost?' Marissa inquired but one of the other guests at the table stood up and walked over and looked at the box.

"More importantly... how many of these exist? Enough for guards?" he was asked by the Captain of the Queen's Guard.

[Prince George]

"This is the only one," he said. "The vibranium is the biggest bottleneck of the process. The rest can be easily replicated. There's only so much vibranium, and the New Federation gave most of it to the Alliance. You're looking at about £15 million per production unit. I used my own money," he added looking at Marissa. "Called in a few favours."

He pulled back his sleeve and pressed a button a wristband, and a phaser rifle beamed into his hands. He handed his sister the phaser, and pulled off the wristband handling that to her as well. "The transporter buffer has been used by the Alliance for years now. This one has greater range, more reliable, and lasts longer on a single charge. The rifle is a compression pulse phaser. Basically a scaled down version of the ship mounted version. That isn't the unique properties. That rifle there completely makes projectile weapons obsolete again. It's a bit heavier than a conventional phaser rifle, but it's shielded against most EM dampening fields, and EMPs."

[Marissa Windsor]

"I'm rather impressed." Marissa said with a nod of approval. "Bloody expensive but very interesting. So Georgie... is this your not so subtle way you want to be Minister of Defense?"

[Prince George]

"Bloody hell no!" He exclaimed. "I wouldn't accept if you offered. No, this is my way of telling you that I am not completely worthless."

[Marissa Windsor]

"And yet... you just got the Captain of the Queen's Guard hard as a bloody rock." Marissa raised an eyebrow. "So, you're not useless after all. Now... and this has always been your problem little brother, is follow through. You've shown us this, you've somehow developed a relationship with Tony Ryder, now... what next? I would actually like to have a meeting with Tony Ryder personally, see if perhaps we can be one of the few Earth governments to actually have some of our tech working again, or are you trying to tell us you're as smart as he is and you can develop this yourself... keep in mind, there are some at this table that control how much money and how many resources we can give you to develop our own versus simply buying what we need."

[Prince George]

"I am not the genius that Tony is, but I'll see what I can do."

[Marissa Windsor]

"Very good. Keep working on it... but seriously, if you can get Tony Ryder here, I'd let some things slide... " Marissa said with a smile. "Maybe even allow you off world if he can help you out."

[Prince George]

"Oh dear sister," he said with a grin, "If I wanted off world you couldn't stop me."
