Re: Homecoming
"Aiko... awesome." Trinity muttered. "Yeah if you see a Japanese chick in black leather... uhm... that describes half my family."

"Bald, with a wee ugly dragon tattoo," Kat added. "She's no a threat to me, but she's dangerous nonetheless."
David swallowed, "I can't say I'm excited about that prospect. I don't know how a phaser is much good against a trained Ajem."

Re: Homecoming
"Fight dirty, but get to safety if she shows up. She's not after you, she's after us and the children." Trinity replied. "That's also why I put Kat out here, there's more space between her and the bunk house and the main house. Plenty of time to spin up the attack drones too... which I am HOPING is still working, I didn't blow some of our budget on that for it to rust."

"Attack drones?" Kat asked with a raised eyebrow. "Ye got bloody attack drones as a civilian?"

Re: Homecoming
"Small ones. Keep in mind, a General, his wife and XO live here and he and I are also the children of very powerful people. It took a LOT of convincing to not have a Secret Service detail guarding us. They're small repulsor lift drones, phasers, mini-missiles, transport tag launchers nothing too nasty but after we had a serial killer loose in the county last year who murdered fifteen women and children, a little military tech patrolling here and there wasn't too crazy. I caught the bastard trying to cut some twelve year old girl's throat in a ditch thanks to the drones. Stunned and tagged him. Luckily the girl had a communicator hidden in her sock." Trinity replied and sighed heavily. "Killed three of our hands here. Thought they just quit and went AWOL, found them in the ravine half decomposed, killer was smart, used lye. Another week or so and there wouldn't have been anything left including their teeth. Killers don't always have to have an order backing them or a cause. He did it because he enjoyed it. Would have served a life sentence in the Mount, but the father of one of his victims suicide bombed him. Tackled him like a linebacker and blew the both of them up. Still shook the community."

She winced, "Aye well, this reality seems a wee bit more complicated."

"A little, but for the most part... people are good, but there are always those that will hurt people for the sheer pleasure of it." Trinity said and closed her eyes, still seeing the utter joy the Artist took in inflicting her wounds. "Thankfully they're the exception not the rule."

Re: Homecoming
"I think you'll find your way just fine." Trinity said with a warm smile. "In any case, why don't you get settled? Set things up however you want. I will warn you in advance, there is a TON of stuff in boxes and crates. Use whatever you like. We can meet up for breakfast at my place, Mrs. Ackers always makes a lot. You haven't lived until you've had her cooking." she poked David in the belly and smirked, "The only reason any of us aren't fat is we work it off. Although you put on a little there cousin in law..." she gave him a side eye. "Everything okay?"

David closed one eye, and gave his abdomen a critical examination. "No.... I don't think so."
