"Luckily no one questioned too much beyond our official story." he turned to the Narlin and nodded his head "Yes, I had heard that. Emperor Lei and I were discussing that, after what happened to Starbreeze... we don't want to jeopardize our relationship with the Narlin Empire and yet... we certainly don't need any trouble here either. Do you think any of the local Narlins will push back or are they in favor of him?" Jon asked. "Of course we could 'circle the wagons' as it were."

"There have been some uprisings at home. But here, on Terra Alpha I wouldn't worry about it. The Narlins here are removed from the changes implemented at home."

“Should still be prepared.” Kinsey said matter of fact.

Golondra cocked her head, "We are loyal to the Alliance. Internal strife is nothing new."

"Last thing we need is your new Emperor stirring the pot here, things are peaceful for the moment." Jon said and took a sip of his tea. "Besides, my wife took Magus' death pretty hard, they had a good relationship together. And Speaker T'Kir was friends with Starbreeze. I'm almost more worried about our people than I am your's." he gave Kinsey a wink. "What was it that one Ambassador called us? Oh yes... a planet where the women are too strong and run amok. I almost took it as a compliment. Terra Alpha has bred some very strong female leaders. Between that and our birth rates are the highest in the Quadrant and many of mixed species. Of course, I do recall that whole theory that we all came from common ancestors in our distant past. More alike than we are different."

"Oh you have been hanging around with Grandpa Nick far too much sir." Cece said with a slight smirk as she walked in. "Sorry to interrupt, but you have a conference call with Stella and Varis, your construction crew needs to know if you are positive that all of the defenses around the old home are deactivated, we certainly don't want a repeat of last week when the tree trimmer was fired on and he ran for his life into the lake. I think they need your reassurance. Bella just smirks and goes 'I don't know, I THINK they're disabled' as if she's almost amused by it."

"If I had to guess; she is amused by it," Golondra added.

Kinsey nodded in agreement, “She is her father’s daughter. Speaking of your wife how is she?”

"She's improving daily, still not back to her old self, I think the attack affected her more than she let on, but we're getting there." Jon said. "It's hard when a man that looks like your father nearly kills you and... she's still coping with losing even the hope of having children. Still... adoption... it's on the table. There are a few kids we've been sort of taken with. Although my priority is ensuring that we can actually raise them without bad guys bombing our home." he looked at Kinsey. "So if we can find a way to stop Dominus from accessing other realities or... shove him and others like him back where they came, it's worth checking out. At least Jack's pod offers you a measure of protection, in case the Andorians intel is more dangerous and they're right for keeping it from us."
