Sins of our Fathers

After the deaths of so many, it is time to rally and fight back. The Alliance is put through it's greatest test since it's founding, but can it retain its soul and the ideals they fought so long and hard to uphold? Will the darkness overtake the light? Will the Alpha and Beta Quadrants be the same when the dust settles?

Aimee smiled, "Are you kidding? I'll use it... eventually. Put one of these little guys in my lap and slid down. They'll love it."

"I can see that." Olivia chuckled. "Who would have thought... when you still called me your 'jailer' that someday the two of us would be living together, raising our kids together, and you'd be sliding down slides with your own kid on your lap? What a long strange trip all this has been. I tell ya, I though... wouldn't trade any of it. And these kids will be well taken care of."

"Well, it appears you are my jailer again," she said wryly.

"Hey all this was your doing sister." Olivia pointed to the kids. "I'm your housemate and partner." she chuckled and hugged her. "And best friend."

"Hey Liv's an excellent jailer... " Jena teased. "I love those new cuffs she bought for the bed."

"JENA!" Olivia exclaimed and went bright red.

"Hey... like no one knows we're weird and kinky." Jena said with a smirk. "Omigosh... is this little Liv? Oh she's adorable!" she looked at the little boy and grinned. "Ohhh he's going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up. Look at those guns!" she squeezed his little arm. "You do know with Klingon kids, you're going to need to like give them a ton of play and exercise. Good thing you have me around. And I promise to keep my clothes on around them and not do any weird sex things around them."

"I don't even want to know what you and Ethan were doing that got foot prints on the ceiling." Olivia raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I need to reconsider letting you two date... so... speaking of children...?"

"Nothing yet." Jena shrugged her shoulders. "Course I'm cleansing like decades worth of birth control out of my system, my mother had me taking it since I was 12..."

"That's a bit young." Tess commented as she checked the babies over with her tricorder.

"I was already five six and I had a full C cup. I was the tallest girl in my class and the most developed. I could pass for 16 no problem, 18 if I didn't talk much. I had a really high squeaky voice, like Angel when she's over caffeinated." she sat next to Aimee. "There was a half Klingon girl and a half Klingon half Rigellian boy, they had their issues... sitting in a seat for hours at a time got them really antsy and they were aggressive because of it. I really think you should consider home schooling Aimee, at least until they're a bit older, like middle school or high school. You've got plenty of well educated people in the house. Olivia knows like a dozen languages, you do know she's got a Masters in fine arts and a Masters in sociology. I've got my Doctorate in Applied Structural Engineering and Electronics. Plus I got a Bachelors' in physiotherapy, basically so I could be a trainer when my Olympics days were over. Ethan has degrees in history and mathematics, kinda surprising really."

"Yeah, he always enjoyed history and he was a natural with applied mathematics, which was helpful with his piloting and weapons training, could calculate trajectories and velocities in his head." Olivia replied.

"Plus you got Doc Tess here, Jack's a history professor and an all around science nerd. You got a whole school just within the Ryder and Lei family alone." Jena said with a smile. "Besides hon... with the threats our families have faced in the past few years, it might be good to keep the kids close to us. Things go south, we're all able to protect them."

Aimee nodded, "I got a masters in math, and a bachelor's in quantum mechanics. There's no shortage of brainpower here."

She shifted unsuccessfully again to find a comfortable position, "Oh, and Jena they aren't half Klingon. I'm not sure what their percentage is. I don't think the father was even half." She shrugged, and stared lovingly down at the baby in her arms. "Either way, there's enough land here for them to blow off steam. Sticks for makeshift bat'leths or whatever sword they choose. Fishing, and trails to explore. And, if nothing else works I'm sure Ethan and Trini...." She stopped forgetting for a moment that Trinity was missing. Swallowing, "Well, if nothing else I'm sure Ethan can put them to work on the ranch mucking stalls or something."

"Hey I am great with kids, look at Lana and Vin... " Jena winked her eye. "I've been working with Lana on strength training and a little wrestling, she was having nightmares about Vinelli and her time there, so asked me to help her at least get strong enough to defend herself BUT not actually fight, just needed the confidence. So I taught her to fake fight. For a few months I was a 'fake' wrestler, although let me tell you, that takes way more effort to not hurt someone but look like you are than it does to actually hurt someone."

"I could tell you that." Olivia teased. "So that's why Lana's been looking a bit more toned lately. Was wondering what that was about."

"Vin actually is really enjoying the running and rope climbing. Kid is like a monkey." Jena said proudly. "Can climb up a rope faster than I can, which is saying something. So seriously Aimee, we'll get those twins so drained between chores and exercise, they won't have the energy to fight with you or each other. Can only imagine the teen years..."

"Yeah... little Livvy... she's not going to go down my path. Besides what my mother was teaching me... " she cleared her throat. "Total rebellion."

"I can picture that." Jena said with a smirk. "Especially with Angel around. All prim and proper. I do wonder which one will be calling themselves 'the good twin'?"

"Probably both," Aimee said with a smirk. "Especially if they take after me at all."
