Birth of the Darkness

Dominus watched as the 'lab rats', as he called them worked in front of the maturation chamber. The fetuses that he and Bellatrix had fertilized were growing into their heirs. He glanced down at the terminal he was working on, his fingers moving so fast they almost seemed to be a blur as he coded the time dilation training for their children. Ten years would pass in about ten hours, they would learn all the basics, then he and Bellatrix would manipulate and set up their training after that, mold them into what they should be. What they wanted to them to be. Then they would spend the next few years training on their own, developing their skills and abilities. Then... once they were mature and ready, they would come into normal time and help him and Bellatrix in their glorious mission.

At least that was his plan, and he made sure there were plans within plans... and those plans had plans within them as well.

He smiled slightly as he saw the daughter grow from a barely developed fetus, into an infant. Nick Ryder had his daughters, capable, beautiful, and his true heirs. The girl would be his. The male would be Bellatrix's. He would be a strong, powerful man who would ensure the Ajem'dasis order would continue. But he could see the curl of her lips, she'd be beautiful, intelligent, creative and most of all... she'd be the perfect counter to Ryder's own children.

"Ophelia." Domius said as he sensed Bellatrix. "I'm naming the girl Ophelia. What about the boy? You can name him. I swear, if you name him 'Boy', I'm going to risk spanking you. Repeatedly."

She scowled at him, "It would be the last time you used that hand." She stood next to him with her hands on her hips, "I suppose Draco or Lucius would be a bit obvious. Though, a play on Ophelia could work. What do you think of Laertes? He was Ophelia's brother in Hamlet, and it was Laertes who killed the king." She smiled, "And Nick Ryder is the closest thing to a King we got."

"But you want to name our son 'Larry'?" Dominus raised an eyebrow and looked at her backside. "Would almost be worth losing the hand. But like I said, up to you. And you are right, my counterpart is as close to a King as this reality has, and he's a king who didn't seek the power. In over 100 realities that I've encountered a version of him, they never desire it, it's always thrust on them. Of course, the ones that DO seek the power. Become me. But even that is short sighted." he put his arm around her shoulder. "I sense great things with these two already. And the beautiful thing is that no one will see them coming until it is too late. So have you found a new apprentice yet or do you think you'll try to turn our son into that? Perhaps I should have clone back ups ready... just in case he looks down the barrel of a kilden and activates it by accident..." he cleared his throat. "Like Dominus from 29384. Drunken idiot."

She smirked, "Well, let's put a pin in that then. Larry doesn't quite have the same feel. New apprentices, are a challenge. There's never a shortage of eager volunteers, but most lack useful qualities. But, I have someone who might fill the role. If not temporarily. I can always create an opening for our son when the time comes."

"If you need help let me know." Dominus replied as he looked at her. "My resources are yours whenever you require them. I wouldn't call us mates, but we did produce children that will be our heirs. The least I can do is share what I have while I have it."

"Picking an apprentice? Or dispatching said apprentice?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "I think I can handle Aiko." Bellatrix shrugged, "She did fail me on Ferenginar, but you don't grow unless you fail. Now, if she didn't grow." She smirked, "Well, let's just say I'll have to resume my search. No room for the weak."

"If she fails as an apprentice, we always need labor drones or surrogates." Dominus said with a half smile. "I do think we need to be more... careful about how many we execute, they have so many other uses besides simply being raw matter to be fed into the matter intake."

Bellatrix nodded, "Ordinarily I detest waste, but I suspect Aiko wouldn't make much of a slave. No, best we do away with her. No half measures my friend. If it comes down to it I do don't need her plotting revenge, and stabbing me in my sleep. Granted, her escape would be unlikely, but it is possible."

"Raw materials then." Dominus replied. "Always need organs, tissue..." he gave her a look. "Waste not want not as they say."

Bellatrix smirked, "Waste not want not," she agreed.
