“Maybe...I met his daughters.” Selene said and smiled. “Kaitlyn is the one who told me about strawberry ice cream with sprinkles.”

"She's adorable... and smart." Noonian said with a smile as he looked at his hands. "Grandchildren, a young daughter... I never realized that the same hands that I could crush a man's skull with, would hold such... beautiful, smart children. My legacies. That other me... your father... he's a fool. My life's regret was not holding onto my Abigail with both arms. That name was your mother's idea by the way, I wanted something more musical. I rather like Selene honestly... "

“He hates it. He’s the only one who calls me Abigail.” Selene said as she rested her head on Noonian’s shoulder. “He thought my mother was weak because she died having me. That I inherited her weakness and he could somehow condition it out of me. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if she hadn’t died. If things would have been different or if she would have helped him.”

"I've wondered that too and I keep coming to the conclusion... she would have left me and taken you with her. I was a bastard in my 'younger days', centuries and time and emptiness... I wasted so much time. I wasted your own youth. And for that I am forever regretful. That is some red in my ledger that I fear will always be there. No matter how much I try now, it's all I can do to at least atone for it. Natalia saw a part of me that I thought I no longer had. A heart. And... a loyalty to my family. “Noonian...considering who my father is and who you are. I think you’re doing pretty well in the atonement department.” Selene informed matter of fact. “I also get the feeling your daughter wouldn’t have let you near her child if she still thought you needed to atone for something.”

"That... means a lot." Noonian said and smiled slightly. "I may not be your technical father, but... I would love to be worthy of you calling me that. Someday."

“I think I might like that.” Selene said smiling.

"Good." Noonian said and nodded his head. "Hopefully whoever that voice was on the other end of the crackly comm has figured out where we are."

"Hopefully." Selene said and laughed. "Clint's going to have to find a new ice cream place. He's probably not going to talk to us for a while considering we helped blow it up."

"Oh I'm sure he'll talk to us." Noonian replied. "Hard to shut him up sometimes." he chuckled lightly and looked around. "If it wasn't so cold, I'd offer you some ice cream... we have plenty to keep us going." he gestured to the tubs.
