[Clint Cross]

"Actually... Jack managed to sort of... help her. It's a long confusing story, but trust me there was K'n'zy arrow and a K'n'zy bullet ready for her. She gave me Solara... who they also mentally manipulated and artificially aged from our brief time together. So, while I still hate that bitch, she gave me a kid that I grew to love. It's funny, technically Kaitlyn is my only actual daughter, that I actually had a hand in making... well technically Solara, but she went from fetus to grown up writer slash spy in a hot second. But four kids when I had serious doubts I would live to see 30 for a while there."

[Liara]

"And who knows maybe you'll have more." Selene said. "You're still young enough."

[Clint Cross]

"I never intended on a huge brood. Considering up until well... Selene dying, we kinda helped raise Jack and Kinsey's kids, but he decided, wisely, if anything happened that Bella and Jon would take care of them. He knew that Selene and I take a lot of risks and are on the front lines, Jon and Bells... they're far more protected. It's a good move." Clint said and chuckled. " Course, this job... it's not what I want to do forever. There's going to come a time when we're hanging by our ankles and while the blood is rushing to our brains, we realize we've done this longer than we haven't and spending more time training other agents is going to look like a great idea." he gave her a look. "I kind of want to work with the orphan kids a bit more, people without families need someone to give a shit about them."

[Liara]

"Are you planning on leaving me with out a partner Director Cross?" Selene inquired with a raised eyebrow.

[Clint Cross]

"Same deal I always had with my partners, retire together. I'll stay in it as long as you're willing to stay in it. Course, Mackenzie is turning into a hell of an agent. I have this feeling that James is going to take my job as Director someday. He's got the brains to do it and he almost enjoys the office work." Clint chuckled lightly. "Always train your replacement. That's what ever SO I've ever had told me. I'm bucking system by going into the field, but when we had a President that would put on armor and pick up a weapon and go into a fight, pretty much set a precedent that if you CAN you should or at least... you should be allowed to if you can actually hold your own. And I can hold my own just fine. Also makes you appreciate a rare weekend off." he pointed to a few of the buildings. "So what looks interesting to you?"

[Liara]

“Ummm what’s that building there?” Selene ask as she pointed to building with a black awing.

[Clint Cross]

"House of Smoke. Steaks, barbecue... upstairs is a pretty incredible art gallery." Clint replied.

[Liara]

“Here?” Selene inquired as she quickly checked her mirrors then slipped into the first open parallel spot she came to. It’d been awhile since she drive but thankfully she hadn’t embarrassed herself yet and the car handled beautifully. She couldn’t believe she’d ever suggested letting Clint drive of course that meant she couldn’t distract him but today she really did want to take in the sites, not that she didn’t enjoy him too.

[Clint Cross]

"Sounds good... and hey good going on finding a parking spot here, usually I have to circle around a few times. Upside, there's a lot within walking distance. Or we can always call the car wherever we are." Clint shrugged his shoulders. "This part of downtown's full of interesting stuff... and plenty of stuff that's more fun to do as a couple. Bella was right, I really should have done a bit more romance before we started sleeping together and going more than a little wild..." he chuckled lightly. "BUUUUT... then again, usually romantic stuff is to lead up to sex and try to get the other party interested. You got me interested. Even if I'm sure those first couple of times were more casual encounters than anything." he winked his eye at her.

[Liara]

“Who said you weren’t still a causal encounter?” Selene inquired it’s a bit of a smirk as she got out of the car.
