We're in This Together

[Clint Cross]

Clint chuckled as the waiter came over and got them seated and explained the menus. As they waited for their order, he looked at the placemat on the table. "Handy map of town... so we're here." he pointed to a spot. "And the ice cream shop is here. Now this building here..." he rolled his eyes. "Sex club. It says 'Ting's Zi Lang's Tea House' but that's just the front of the house, back of the house... it's like a porno. She used to have a place on Byron, she's actually a decent enough lady. Crazy, but she's helped us on a few cases. It was kind of surprising how many of her 'working girls' were actually spies. Every so often she'll make it on the news chasing someone out into the street and beating the ever loving shit out of them with a tonfa or a high heel."

[Liara]

“Sounds like my kind of lady. A high heel can be a very useful weapon.” Selene laughed as she leaned closer to study the map. “How do we get to New Honolulu?”

[Clint Cross]

"Couple of ways. There's a bridge, a tunnel that goes under the ocean and transporter gates." Clint pointed out the spots on the map. "President Ryder's daughters were big into making New Honolulu a thing, so there's plenty of ways there. It's literally like someone transplanted Hawaii here. Similar plants, flowers, weather. The terra formers did a really impressive job of making many of the regions similar, if not direct copies of regions of Earth and other planets. I did consider moving there but I like a bit dryer area and actual woods. Less tourists buzzing overhead."

[Liara]

"I like your place it's quiet when you know people are hammering and pissing off your AI." Selene said with a smirk. "We could send the car back and take one of the transporter gates."

[Clint Cross]

"Transporter gates are like a block away, we got a decent spot." Clint replied. "Unless we spend the night at a hotel in New Honolulu. The sunsets are amazing and the air at night smells amazing. There's a couple of hotels near the beach that are ahem... naturalist friendly. No cameras allowed, no press."

[Liara]

"That'll be nice. No one wondering what the First Ladies father is up to with the young attractive redhead who looks like his deceased wife." Selene said as she sipped her wine. "Sorry that was probably terrible. Maybe I should stop with the jokes."

[Clint Cross]

"Eh, it's alright. I mean it's true... although they could think the death was a fake out and you had work done." Clint countered. "Not that she and you looked drastically different, but you've got a few less wrinkles and your hair is a bit lighter. Probably all that Xenexian sun. I'll admit, I always thought she'd look good as a strawberry blonde, we toyed with a platinum wig for Halloween one year, but she hated that thing it was 40 degrees out and she was sweating bullets while freezing her tits off."

[Liara]

Selene laughed, “I’ve done blonde before but I wasn’t allowed to keep it after the mission. Everything was issued and returned even my hair color.”

[Clint Cross]

"Wow, that's lame." Clint scoffed. "Only thing I ever ask for back are weapons, since well... we do try to keep track of things like that and so they're serviced. Before I took over, during the transition, the guys in charge of our weapons and maintenance were killed. Had a lot of weapons that were used and then just put back and never really checked over before re-use. Sucks when you're grabbing a phaser rifle out of a crate that's been dropped to you and it falls apart. But wow, even the hair color. That's messed up. So since you have a choice... do you want to go to a different color?"

[Liara]

“I haven’t given it much thought. Could always do both I suppose. It would probably look ridiculous.” Selene laughed. “What do you think?”
