The Way Out is Through

[Clint Cross]

Clint looked up the stairs, "Happier than I thought I would be. I think we both fill a need we didn't realize we had. Its like Selene from a few years back, save for that insane Trill that thought he was her boyfriend and the guys draining her blood..."

[Liara]

“And her old partner who tried to kill you.” Rommie reminded him. “You did make sure she didn’t come with one of those right? Anyway your vitals are improved compared to previous months. But I’m more interested in your emotions. You know Selene would be okay with this. I could work up a statical analysis on how okay she would be with it if that would help.”

[Clint Cross]

"Well I kind of know that... sort of had a near death experience... she came to me." Clint replied. "Said it was alright, I still feel a little iffy sleeping with this one in this house but... gotta move on. Besides, Thessian tea."

[Liara]

“It makes perfect sense you built this house with Selene and she’s the only woman you’ve been with in it. And judging by my scans you might actually be a bit nervous? But you brought her here so you must feel marginally like you’re ready to go forward and if your not I think she’ll understand.” Rommie said as she turned to look at Clint. “And you drank the Blue Thessia tea? Did Inara prepare it for you or were you dumb enough to make it yourself?”

[Clint Cross]

"It was mixed in homebrew. Joe gave it to Selene to test..." Clint rolled his eyes. "That was a huuuuuge fucking mistake, had to call in Tess to save our lives. Sex was great. Was worth it."

[Liara]

Rommie put her face in her palm.

“Only you would think that.” Rommie said. “If you’re interested in engaging in safe blue tea consumption I know how to properly prepare it. I also know where Selene hid a small bag of it along with the accompanying tea.”

[Clint Cross]

"She did bring this." Clint held up the baggie. "If you think you can make it... go for it. Just... make yourself scarce once we're... intimate alright? Selene never liked it when you gave her a critique... I know I didn't like it."

[Liara]

“Oh please you’re just mad you needed help with your aim. Tell me has this one been unhappy with my advice?” Rommie inquired as she took the bag. “I didn’t think so. Anyway...drink the blue tea first hot. Only what I put out. Drink the second tea when you’re done cold. If either of you start to feel strangely drink it sooner. I’ll have breakfast ordered in. Give me about five minutes to get everything setup in the workshop.”

With that Rommie disappeared through the door down into the workshop just as Selene appeared at the top of the stairs. She was dressed in a simple lavender dress. Her suit draped over one arm with a silk robe and her boots in hand.

“I wasn’t sure what to wear.” Selene told him as she started down the stairs. “Your wife had a lot to choose from.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint just stared at her and then rapidly blinked. "Looks great... and yeah told you there was a lot. Angel Ryder usually gave everyone close to her a lot of first runs of her new clothing lines. Glad it fits right, most of the stuff in there is pretty new too." he took a sip of his wine and smiled at her. "I can have Rommie help you with packing some of it up when you go tomorrow." although in the back of his mind he was wishing that she wouldn't go at all. But he was determined to do this right. They already rushed the sex but he always suspected that it would have happened sooner with his Selene if circumstances were a bit different. "Rommie's getting downstairs ready. I know we call it the 'workshop' but that's only a part of it. I have no idea why I'm more than a little nervous all of a sudden."

[Liara]

“Because you’re a good man.” Selene said as she joined him. “I would understand if you change your mind. But I hope you don’t.”
