"Good point." Jon replied as he handed the plate to Bella and worked on his own. "Still, it was going to happen eventually, Julie Lei no longer had the drive to maintain the Imperium as it was. Hell, that's why she had Kinsey and Jonas take out the Imperium hardliners." he hummed as he thought of something. "You know... that gives me an idea. Alone, the Alliance isn't going to be able to face him. But a multi-pronged approach. As many allied powers as we can assemble, cut off his supplies, cut off his troops, cut off his ability to operate, all at once. Has to be all at once."

“Yeah but getting them to not be cowards about it is going to be the hard part.” Bella pointed out. “It’s just not the same with Magnus gone.”

"Aye, Magnus was one of a kind." Jon agreed as he finished his plate and sat across from her at the little breakfast nook. "Still, we can be quite convincing when we need to be, if we don't have the Narlins at our sides, then we'll just have to find allies where we can." he poured her a cup of tea and then one for himself. "We may actually have to be... social."

"You mean I'll have to be...I'll have to be nice?" Bella asked in mock surprise.

"I know, such a stretch for you dear." Jon chuckled lightly. "Or at least amusingly snarky and mildly interactive. And clothed." he shuddered. "It's funny, at work I'm in a three piece with a tie, each and every day, here... if I have pants and a shirt on I'm shocked. Of course, it HAS helped with accepting the scars from Bartyn's attack. They're part of me and part of you now. Something we still had happen together. I kept thinking the whole time I was recovering, if that was my last day... at least it was with you. That's all I want. For a posh Brit, I really do have simple needs. You and tea."

Bella laughed, "Well I'm glad I'm one of your favorite things. Though I'm sure for a Brit the tea is higher on the list."

"Higher than tea my dear." Jon said with a smile. "Tea doesn't sit across from me naked eating crepes or do what you did a couple hours ago." he replied. "Although at least we share a mutual admiration for good tea. Also makes you easy to shop for." he added as he took a sip of his tea. "Same in reverse. I'm finding I can live with quite a lot less since I returned. Soft bed, a good chair, and a tea pot. I actually was able to use some of my salary to pay the over time for our security detail."

“Good they’ve earned it. Speaking of security detail...how is RJ? Any change?”

"Still no real change." Jon replied as he ate and shook his his head. "He's still comatose. I'm dreading when he wakes up and wonders where Cece is."

"We'll tell him together." Bella said and took a bite of her food. "He deserves to hear it from friends."
