The Way Out is Through

[Clint Cross]

"I guess I'm just worried you'll think I'm a sentimental old softy... I really REALLY want this to work out with us." Clint said and held her hands. "And I haven't changed my mind. Even more into this than I was before if that's possible." he looked her in the eyes. "These past few days have been a roller coaster but I'm on board for all of it."

[Liara]

“Then I don’t think you have anything to be nervous about.” Selene told him. “I should be the nervous one. Worried I’m not soft enough or able to to love you enough.”

[Clint Cross]

"That's the thing... I never expected you or even her to be that. Just be yourself, that's what's got me attracted to you. Not just what meets the eye. It helps but it's not the only thing." Clint said as he leaned against the kitchen bar. "You've needed to belong somewhere to be useful, but not used."

[Liara]

“You deserve to be loved Clint.” Selene told him matter of fact.

[Clint Cross]

"So do you." Clint said simply. "Don't let your previous spymasters or anyone else tell you otherwise. Sure love makes you soft but it also gives you something to fight for and protect."

[Liara]

Without Selene noticing Rommie poked her head through the doorway to let Clint know everything was ready and then disappeared.

“I’ve never been loved before.” Selene told him. “I’m not sure what it is but I’m sure you’ll teach me.”

[Clint Cross]

"More about feeling than teaching but yeah... " Clint took a few steps closer to her. "And its about taking the good with the not so good... finding the middle ground, enjoying each other's company. As for... the future... well it hasn't been written yet. Oh sure there are possibilities, but I would be entirely fine going decades of us just being casual as long as it meant we were both happy."

[Liara]

“I think I can try that.” Selene said looking into his eyes. “I mean I’m still here.”

[Clint Cross]

"Good." Clint said and took her hand. "C'mon... let's go and get comfortable..."

[Liara]

“Comfortable sounds nice.” Selene said as she let him take her hand.
