"That's all I ask." Clint replied and kissed her cheek. "You know Bells, no matter what, you're still my girl. You matter more to me than I think you realize. Same with Kaitlyn and James. And if this doesn't work, then it doesn't work and hopefully she doesn't get it in her head to try and kill me. Wouldn't be the first time, but she doesn't lay a finger on you."

"We won't let her." James said and crossed his arms. "I may have my mind set on having your job someday dad, but mom taught me enough ways to defend myself against someone like her." he rolled up his sleeve and showed off his gauntlet. "I wear these out of memory of mom but also because with everything happening, I'm going to do my best to defend us kids. Same with MC." he looked at Bella. "Besides she's got mom's gun on her thigh."

"She won't even let ME touch it." Jon said as he poured some chocolate on his pancake. "Doesn't fit me anyway. Selene and Bella have tiny hands."\

"Custom grips man, all about the custom grips." Clint replied. "Anyway... eat up Bells... bunnies don't stay warm forever."

- Meanwhile, Terra Alpha Shipyards

Ethan stepped onto the bridge of the USS, now TAS Charger. The ship still had a strong smell of "old". It in fact had spent over a century in Starfleet's mothball fleet. Ignored and neglected the old Constitution class ship had to towed to Terra Alpha where extensive repairs could be made to it just to make her spaceworthy again.

But, the ship came cheap. The ship itself was free, so the only cost was the repairs. That would help silence the naysayers, not that they needed any reason to complain about the new general of the III Corps. Of course it would give them something else to talk about other than his age.

The engines were borrowed from several salvaged wrecks from the Imperium War that had no use in the modern naval fleet, and the computer core came out of the newly upgraded TAS Seraphim. The damage to the hull was welded if possible, and where that wouldn't work they salvaged the skins from her sister ship the USS Eagle which was in even more disrepair.

"What are you going to do with this hunk of junk General?" a bewildered Ensign asked looking up from the tactical console with it tore apart for repairs. "She's barely spaceworthy and she sure as hell ain't going to last long in a fight."

"Transport Ensign," Ethan said with a grin. "Now, I don't have to rely on you guys to give my guys a lift. Not to mention I can use this ship as a mobile command center. Use transporters to move units from one location to another, and monitor the battlefield and hopefully react before things go completely sideways."

"Seems like you could have gotten a newer ship. Hell, even one purpose built for the task."

Ethan laughed at that, "You think Congress is going to appropriate funds for the Marines to have a ship? You're out of your mind if you think that would happen. Not to mention your brass would loose their minds."

The ensign chuckled, "I get your point sir."

[Kalia Lei]

"Yay it actually has lights and working grav plating this time!" Kalia said as she bounced around the bridge. "Hmm.. I kind of missed the lower gravity, felt like 30 pounds lighter." she snapped Ethan a salute. "Well General I told you I'd do it and I did it... I found you a full rack of quantum torpedoes that will fit the photon launchers in this bird. That one Imperium supply clerk we poached last year, he told me about this cache full of old shit they just threw in an old Regula type station. This baby will be able to fight and fly. Told you I'd give you a baby shower gift you wouldn't forget. Oh... and... " she pulled out a small bag. "The twins first Marine Dress uniforms. Stella, one of my old operatives back in the day made them. Lady's like 120 and still sews."

Ethan laughed, "Well, my carefree days of lounging in my underwear and playing video games are about to come to an abrupt end. Have you seen Aimee and Dougal since she had her twins? Holly cow! Hey, what do you think of Arthur and Diana. For the babies."

[Kalia Lei]

"I like them, strong names. And keep in mind, Aimee's kids are part Klingon. Your's... are part Ryder and part Lei... you'll just have to find them when they get into trouble." Kalia said with a chuckle. "And you do realize your days of lounging in your underwear playing video games IS going to be your life once they get old enough to join you. Look at former President Nick... I've caught him in his den with Gale and I can hear Mario Kart in the background. I think you're just sore because I totally kicked your ass in Call of Duty. I grew up in a simulator and I'm Asian, video games are hardwired into me man." she cocked her head slightly when she looked at the view screen. "Is it me or did they install it crooked?" she cocked her head the other way. "No... the ceiling is crooked... maybe the deck... where's that level?"

Ethan chuckled, "It'll be fine General. We can just say it's the character of the ship. Every ship has a personality right? Well, this one's old, not everything is as it should be, and probably a little crotchety."

[Lana Ryder]

"Personality is one thing, but that shit'll give you a headache." Lana said as she dragged a rolling tool kit into the bridge. "Aimee said you can have these, given that the Mata Hari is even older than this, you can make use of these things more than we can. Everything you need to fix a bridge without a time machine." she rubbed her neck. "Hey Aunt Kalia..."

"Lana! Wow you're looking more fit than last time I saw you, look at those guns!" Kalia said with a smile.

"Yeah Momma K's been helping me with some strength training, and mom wants me to help out at gigs with set up. Anyway... I just came to drop off this and some of Mrs. Acker's lunch boxes." Lana said with a wiggle of her eyebrows. "She worried that there'd be nothing to eat up here other than Klingon Civil War rations that are older than her mother. Almost forgot... Jena can help you with that shuttle bay door that isn't opening right. It's frame problem, not a door problem, she'll be over later today. My father... took her for some weird acupuncture massage sex thing so they can conceive. So, just uhm... keep it to women only in the shuttle bay. Her pheromones are probably going to be wacky and I doubt you want your Marines... you know."

"Are you kidding? I wouldn't let a Marine try to fix this ship. That would be like trying to build a house with a fish. Fixing is what we do, we break, but I'll make sure the area is clear."
