[Rebecca Talon]

<TAS Erebus>

"Because this is important," Rebecca said as she walked into the Erebus' transporter room. She was wearing a Terra Alpha Naval field uniform stripped of all rank and insignia. She had her hair pulled into a regulation military bun, and her kliden was clipped to her left belt.

She paused halfway through the door and turned to Yoshi, "I get you have something that needs my attention, but since I don't know what my role is in it... I get to determine what is important, and this gets my attention. Angel needs someone at her back, and it's a terrible idea to leave the Kitea without a captain. I promise when I get back I'll borrow a runabout, and then you need to explain your mission. "

[Yoshi Tanaka]

"Absolutely no complaints from me." Yoshi replied as he held up a padd. "I can actually continue some of my work here on Erebus, had no idea she was so well equipped for scientific research, the way the Scions spoke of most Alliance ships, like they were pure warships. I just wanted to wish you a safe mission"

[Rebecca Talon]

"Well, thank you. And by the way the Erebus isn't a typical Alliance warship. I designed her as a dual purpose ship. I envisioned a completely self-sufficient ship exploring the deepest reaches of space during peace. It's a mission I hope she gets to eventually go on."

[Yoshi Tanaka]

"I'm sure it will someday." Yoshi gave her a salute as she stood waiting to be beamed over.

[Rebecca Talon]

"You're welcome to come along," Rebecca offered.

[Yoshi Tanaka]

"Oh what the hell..." Yoshi said as he joined her. "My work can wait, besides, this may help it... if I can get an uncorrupted database from one of their ships, that may help with my calculations." he gave her a look. "And, Admiral Ryder is kind of my sister is she not?"

[Rebecca Talon]

"You tell me?" Rebecca replied with a shrug. "Is Julie Lei, your mother?" She didn't wait for an answer and nodded to the transporter tech, "Energize."

[Angel Ryder]

Angel was waiting in the transporter room when she saw Becca and Yoshi beam in. She smiled and went over to hug her mentor.

"Gotta say Aunt Becca... it's always great seeing you beam in and let me just say... damn. That uniform looks good on you. The quartermasters bitched about me switching out the fabric, but that is really the look." Angel said as she hugged her. "So I take it this is... Dr. Tanaka?"

"Yoshi is fine." he said and looked at Becca. "I suppose you and I are related by way of our mother. Julie Lei."

"So another brother... that's a surprise. Kind of like a more Asian looking Jack... " Angel said with a smile. "Although how old was mom when she had you? Thought I was the first born."

"It's a wee complex." Yoshi replied and looked around. "So this ship that you're looking for, it could have what I need to help you end Dominus' threat. Although I have been looking for a good excuse to work alongside you."

"Oh really?" Angel raised an eyebrow. "How much have you told him about me? We'll walk to the Yacht's access hatch."

"She didn't have to say a thing... I read your articles and watched a few things. Your name is well known that and the Scions had always hoped that they'd catch you somewhere and try to take you out so they could get brownie points with Dominus. " Yoshi said as he followed her down the corridors.

"I know that much... kind of why I've been in space more. Would rather face them where I'm in my element... the bridge of a starship." Angel said and looked at Becca. "Besides... nothing would please me more than to see Dominus and his twisted 'family' taken out before I have my own set of twins. So, riddle me this... why would the Romulans deny there being a crashed enemy ship... unless they're not really 'our' Romulans."

[Rebecca Talon]

Rebecca sighed, "You know the Roumulans. It could be anything from a standard territorial pissing match to them thinking we're going to lose this war, and they are looking to score favor with Dominus. And of course it could be a combination of things from infiltrators and some thing or things else."
