"Yeah we can't frontal assault with this ship." Clint said and thought for a moment. "Although this could be the break we've been looking for. Send a coded message to Admiral Ryder, see who she can spare for this, but we need cloaked ships with enough fire power defend ourselves." he sighed. "Because if they can blow up a planet, a starship is nothing."

“And here I was hoping to come boost your moral.” Mac said with a shake of her head. “Instead we might have just stumbled onto more bad news. Then again this might be nothing.”

"Yeah but it could be something and it's a lead worth following up on." Clint replied. "Don't worry about boosting my morale... honestly. I'll be... well I'm not exactly fine but I'm a professional. So was she. We knew this day would come someday. But I am getting justice for her. Actually on second though, contact Director Decker, they spent a ton on ships for SHIELD, she may as well deploy them. We need to assess just what we're up against. We are Intelligence operatives after all. We do more than the sexy spy stuff... not that any of this Op has been sexy."

“Yes, if all I have to show for this op is a cut on the hand Jason will never let me live it down.” Mac joked. “But then again that’s what he gets for knocking up Kassie. He could have easily of come along but no he decided babies were more sexy than spy stuff.”

"Well Kassie did just get promoted and I think Jon would rather have Jason where he can keep an eye on him." Clint chuckled. "I'm shocked it took as long as it did... those two... it's like five minutes of alone time and they're doing it. Can't entirely blame him... she doesn't make it easy for him to resist."

“No she doesn’t.” Mac said with a roll of her eyes as she sat down next to him. “JT said he messaged Decker.” Mac added tapping her temple with a smirk.

"See that's why I like having a telepath or two around." Clint said and rubbed his neck. "Your grandmother... she's very much like your mom. I can entirely see where Kinsey got it from. At least she knocked back more bloodwine than I could, so I didn't look like a pussy." he winced. "Don't react well to bloodwine anymore. I used to but not anymore. Must be getting old."

“Or your not in the mood.” Mac said sympathetically then bumped his shoulder. “Or you’re just getting old old man.”

"Maturity isn't a bad thing." Clint replied. "Still miss my little girl, at least she enjoys hanging out with her big sister. Bella really is good with kids, she'd have made a great mom. I get why Jack basically had your little selves raised by her. Do worry about him though. Last time he lost Kinsey he kinda lost it, and this time... he's not quite as psycho but I dunno. Almost like he's just getting fed up. I don't entirely blame him, how many times have I lost Selene in some way? Think that was what made us work so well, we knew either of us could be killed in action or whatever at any time so we made the most of our time together. If it was the last well... we didn't have regrets."

“I miss her.” Mac admitted. “We both do. I caught Mackenzie cuddling bunny slippers before we left. She wouldn’t tell me why, but I have a feeling I know. Jason and I we’ve been through this before. It doesn’t make this easier but they haven’t and they’ve had you both longer. Just…I made promises before we left. I don’t want to break them.”
