The Way Out is Through

[Liara]

“No,” Selene said firmly stepping closer to her. “Look at me Orlaith...You’re nothing but a tool to them and you deserve more. You do not deserve to be punished for saving a life. And there are punishments far worse then death I’ve lived them from my own father. Yours would be no different. You. Deserve. Better.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint approached her and picked up her kilden. "I have two rules. Don't kill kids. Even if they're the spawn of devils. Two... there's always a way to make anything be anything." he looked over at Selene. "I'll take care of the kid you get the target."

The man who was in the cell walked out and pushed Selene aside and gestured with his hand and pulled one of the weapons he created to his hand. "A message has to be sent though." he ignited the kilden, it glowed white with a metal core that sprung up in the middle. He pointed it at the child. "Your parents kept me prisoner, had me create weapons for them. No more."

"No! Leave the kid alone." Clint said and ignited the other kilden. "I don't know how to use this, but I know how to use a sword." he glanced between the girl and the target. "Stand down... whatever your name is."

"Tanaka. Yoshi Tanaka." he replied and sighed. "We can't let her go... and she won't be taken prisoner."

"Like I said... there's ways. Selene... think she'll listen to you?" Clint raised an eyebrow at her. "I mean... not our first enemy turned reluctant ally."

Órlaith didn't resist as if she was willing Tanaka to take her life. "Do it," she said softly to Tanaka. "I don't deserve to live. I am weak."

[Liara]

“You don’t get to decide Tanaka.” Selene said angrily a she shot him with a shock dart from her gauntlet. “And Orlaith if I hear you say that again I’ll slap you. You’re not weak. You just stood up to your parents and that takes courage. I know I had to kill my father to earn a small degree of freedom. It’s not easy.”

[Clint Cross]

"It's true..." Clint replied. "Besides... half of our version of your parents, their kids went rogue anyway." he hummed. "This could be a solution." he crouched down and put a transport tag on Tanaka. "Miki... beam the Target to the 'Tank'. Let him sleep it off... In the meantime... tell you what kid. I know a place we can let you go and you still fulfill your obligations."

[Órlaith]

She sighed, "Gamur was a pedophile. Perhaps I can convince mama that I acted impulsively. Chaulk it up to my inexperience, and naivety. She'll probably put me in the chamber until I'm thirty-five. That's assuming father doesn't get to me first."

[Liara]

“My father use to put me in a box to punish me sometimes in cryo. You don’t deserve that you deserve to live your life.” Selene told her as she rest a hand on her arm. “Stay and see what this place has to offer. If you still want to go then no one will stop you.”

"I must. They are my family. They are all I have."

[Liara]

“Family isn’t always blood.” Selene said glancing at Clint. “Your parents have counter parts that would welcome you. I’ve read their files and they seem like good people. And you’ll have us.”

Shaking her head she used the ijulna to retrieve her kliden. She looked down at it ruefully, "I couldn't complete the bleeding of the crystal. That's why it's orange." Shrugging she hooked it to her belt. "No matter, it just means I must work harder. I can tell you this because we are eliminating Lady Seig'ajem. Cece Ryder was alive when my sister handed her over to your realitie's Lady of the Ajem'dasis. I don't know what she has done to her since."
