[Liara]

“He’s not actually going to try and eat me is he?” Selene whispered.

[Clint Cross]

"No, he only like burly goons, more muscle." Clint whispered back

[Liara]

She laughed softly and smiled as she caught Kaitlyn peeking out at her.

“Hi Kaitlyn I’m Selene.” Selene said with tiny wave at her.

Slowly, Kaitlyn lifted her tiny hand and waved back.

“It’s nice to meet you. Your dad has told me a lot about you. He talks about you all the time.” Selene told her with a smile. Shyly, Kaitlyn hid her face in Clint’s neck so she couldn’t see Selene. “One day when you’re ready I’d like to get to know you better. Maybe we could get ice cream or something. Whenever you’re ready.”

[Clint Cross]

"Give her a couple of meetings." Clint said with a smile. "Kaitlyn's a little shy around new people. It's alright, it's a good trait to have sometimes." he pecked his daughter's cheek. "And this one loooves Ice Cream don't you? What's your favorite kind now?"

[Liara]

“Strawberry.” Kaitlyn said shyly.

“Strawberry? I love strawberries! Wait you’re telling me they put strawberries in a frozen desert here?” Selene said in disbelief.

“You’ve never had ice cream?” Bella inquired, shocked.

“No and definitely not with strawberries.”

“Even mom had ice cream before she came here.” Bella said in disbelief.

[Clint Cross]

"Never even had Strawberries and Moscato before either." Clint shook his head. "Sheltered this one was." he chuckled.

"I'll say... that was something Selene got pretty much everyone into. I think we've always got at least a couple bottles of Moscato and a package or two of strawberries on hand nearly all the time." Jon said as he raised an eyebrow. "I think Ice Cream of multiple flavors is something you need to remedy Clint."

[Liara]

“With sprinkles.” Kaitlyn said with a grin.

“What are sprinkles?” Selene inquired with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh for fuck sake!” Bella exclaimed. “Have you two not even been on a date yet? Have you just been screwing each other this whole time?”

[Clint Cross]

"Hey, language around the little one." he chuckled and glanced at Selene "Well..." Clint winced. "I did introduce her Thai food... and she found Inara's tea and oh by the way never ever under any circumstances drink the Homebrew mixed with that Thessian tea... it's not good for people like us. Jon can have it. Unless you gave him a transfusion..."

[Liara]

“No I didn’t.” Bella said as she took Kaitlyn. “Come here Bug Dad needs to go be a gentleman. Geez Dad we at least dated before we had sex. Like a lot of dates. You haven’t taken her on one and Thai doesn’t count probably never even left her apartment.”

“We we are going out after we leave here.” Selene said with a shrug.

“Where a nice drive back to Joe’s?” Bella said with a roll of her eyes. “You’re way more romantic then that. Jon order him to take two days off. Then back to Dominus. You can’t have a relationship with someone who looks like Mom but has no idea what ice cream. Then expect her to be able James and Kaitlyn.”

[Clint Cross]

"And you see why we call them the Presidents Price..." Clint said.

"I agree... take... three days off, show this woman a good time, actually take her out on a couple of real dates and Joe's doesn't count." Jon said with a smirk. "Naval Intel will manage without you."

"Well if it's an order... it's an order." Clint saluted Jon and put his arm around Selene. "I dunno I thought I was pretty romantic... but yeah, we have a lot to get you caught up on. Ice cream with sprinkles... thought that was almost a given. What else...?" he looked at Bella.
