Around Every Corner

[Liara]

“Somehow I don’t think you’ll have an issue.” Selene said with a smile. “I’ll see you tomorrow Tali.”

[Tali’Zorha]

"Unless you're still riding Cross... just call me when you're available." Tali said with a grin. "Drink plenty of fluids and bourbon and moscato don't count."

[Liara]

“Goodbye Tali.” Selene called as walked into the bathroom to change.

[Tali’Zorha]

Tali smiled and walked down the stairs with a smile on her face. Then she saw Joe standing near the entrance. "Hi Joe... I was just telling Selene how it seems there's always a friendly face around every corner... not entirely used to that." she flashed him a smile. "Do you have plans for tomorrow night?" she raised an eyebrow at him. "I noticed you got a bit more help up here."

[Joe]

"Trisha can handle a Wednesday night by herself. Ruby and Mathew are broken in enough on tables and as long as the kegs are setup and the bar is stocked they should be fine." Joe said smiling back at Tali. "Did you have something specific in mind?"

[Tali’Zorha]

"Well, you made it not so subtly that you wanted to take me out at some point." Tali tapped her temples. "Telepath remember... I'll be out with Selene tomorrow but when I come back to drop her off... if you wanted to take me somewhere. I'd be open to it. Haven't been on an actual date in a very long time."

[Joe]

"I'd be honored if you don't mind the fact I haven't been on one in a very long time too." Joe said as he ran his hand through his hair.

[Tali’Zorha]

"I don't mind at all. We may be older but we're not dead yet." Tali said with a smile. "I'll see you tomorrow night then Joe."

[Joe]

"Tomorrow." Joe said softly as looked into the depths of those beautiful lavender eyes.

The sound of the front door opening pulled him away.

"Hey Clint." Joe said as he glanced over at him briefly and sniffed the air. "Is that Thai?"

[Clint Cross]

"Yes indeed it is. I have been waiting for this place to open up for months, ever since our usual go to Thai place closed on Byron last year." Clint said as he held the box up. "I'm entirely shocked that this Selene never had Thai. Had to remedy that. Not that the food here isn't great but... I don't think Ricardo and Jose and Pete can make this. I suggested Pad Thai once and they they looked at me like I grew a second head." he chuckled and saw Tali. "Hey, so.. how'd it go?"

"Oh quite well actually. Nothing major to worry about, a few minor obedience commands our last Jackson implanted but nothing to worry about, i took care of what I could. She's still lived a far different life from your's, even before you two met, but... I think you two will have a lot of fun." Tali said and gave him a smile. "Just don't have TOO much fun, told her we'd go out tomorrow sometime during the day, going to explore the city a bit and I may as well as tell you, set up our own back up caches and safe houses. After what I read in some of the reports I was given, we can never be too prepared. It'll be nice to actually set up caches and know I'm not just leaving them abandoned in a few months. This is the longest I've been in a reality in decades."

"I'm glad. And thanks... " Clint said and glanced at Joe. "He looks happy... "

"Promised him a date tomorrow night. Guess you two inspired me." She cocked her head slightly. "She should be almost ready for you. Go get 'em Hawkeye." she patted his arm. "And Joe... something nice, wear a tie... this is what I'll be wearing." she gave him a mental flash of a slinky dress that she had tried on earlier. "Clint. Joe." she nodded her head and headed out of the bar.

"Joe... man..." Clint shook his head. "We are deadmen walking with those two around, but... what a way to go."
