Ghosts

[Clint Cross]

Clint could 'hear' what was going on around him, but he felt light... floaty even... then he saw her. All black leather clad and sitting on the edge of the window. "Selene?" he said, not believing his eyes. "Is that you?"

[Selene Cross]

“Who else would it be?” Selene smirked at him.

[Clint Cross]

"I missed you." Clint said as he walked over to her. "So uhm... about this... ah... I did try to wait longer." he winced slightly and sighed. "Guess we both died in this place."

[Selene Cross]

Selene reaches out and took Clint’s hand pulling him down to sit next to her.

“You know I miss you too.” Selene admitted as she looked down at their joined hands. “But I’m dead Clint I don’t need you to wait for me anymore. I needed you to be happy.”

[Clint Cross]

"I... was. I really tried to resist but... I guess I have a type after all. And that type is you." Clint said and looked into her eyes. "So did you approve of this? "

[Selene Cross]

“I do.” Selene said as she gently touched his face. “And Clint...no one said you could die yet.”

[Clint Cross]

"It's hard going back home without you... but..." Clint sighed and thought about Kaitlyn and James. "For the kids." he nodded hi head and smiled."Selene Cross you are still a remarkable woman. I never stopped loving you. " he could hear Selene and Tess. "So this other Selene... I feel like she needs what you needed when we first met. And I don't mean 'lil' Clint..."

[Selene Cross]

“Hawkeye you can be so crude.” Selene laughed and kissed him on the cheek. “She needs you Clint more then she realizes. Maybe even more then I did.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint touched her hand. "Then I won't hold this against her..." he chuckled. "Whatever was in that... whatever we both drank... if I was a more paranoid spy I'd think she was trying to kill me. BUT... I think she didn't know." he looked at her. "I don't want you to go. But I should try to wake up... huh? Hey anything you want me to tell the kids or do you think they'd think I entirely lost my mind?"

[Selene Cross]

“That I love them but they’ll probably think you lost your mind.” Selene said with a small smile. “I love you Clint and it’s okay to let me go...it’s time to wake up now.”
