"I know what you mean." Tali said and took another swig of her drink. "This... has been a terrible day. So give me something good to think about... you and JT considering children?" she looked at him over her glass. "I can tell he's actually kind of into the idea, more than he probably let on. Listen, whatever happens with your parents, I will be there for you."

[Mac Calhoun]

“We’re considering it.” Mac said with a glance in his direction. “We decided if it happens it happens. It’s not like it’s an easy thing not like it is for humans.”

[Tali’Zorha]

"Easier than you think." Tali said with a half smile. "That's one beauty of us Xenexian women, our biology is pretty adaptive. Look at your brother and his wife. Enough contact, it'll happen." she chuckled lightly. "There was a Bajoran man that knocked up a friend of mine. Cute kids. Four of them. Little nose ridges and lavender eyes. Although two had one brown and one lavender. Although she got the Bajoran sneezing thing." she pulled at her collar and loosened her blouse slightly. "How can Kassie wear those chokers so often? I hate things around my neck. I don't like these high necked uniforms."

Mac laughed, “You didn’t have to wear it I don’t.”

"My wardrobe consists of tank tops, leather pants and jeans. Bridge is too cold otherwise AND JT gets distracted easily." Tali cleared her throat.

"Guilty." JT put up his hands. "Sorry about staring..."

"I'll forgive it... your wife can punish you later." Tali teased. "Although I haven't worn a bra in something like a decade. Just not a priority in the desert. As nice as Joe's place was... I think I need to find something else. I DO have some credits saved up already, want to move in some place bigger? House boat is nice but... wouldn't you two rather have something on dry land?"

“I like the houseboat it’s quiet and peaceful.” Mac said and raised an eyebrow. “You know Joe likes you right? I haven't seen him as happy as he's been since you started working there. Lost his legs in a shuttle accident it didn't stop him from opening a bar or being in a band. He's a great guy and a great blues singer. Every once in awhile he and Jason get together.”

"I've heard him play. He IS good." Tali said with a smile. "I like him too, but I wouldn't mind being closer to you two." she sipped her drink. "So would you be cool with me dating him then? Joe being your step grandpa?' she giggled. "Clint's nice too, but too much in love with his late wife, I can respect that. She was a good woman and I like men that don't just rush into another relationship before the body's even cold."

“I would suggest not even entertaining the idea of a relationship with Clint. He may date someone someday but it won’t be for a very long time. He and Selene…they were made for each other. I don’t think he’d have that same relationship with anyone else.” Mac replied as she got up and refilled her glass. “And Tali I like Joe I wouldn’t be opposed to you dating him if he made you happy.”

"It's been a very long time since I've dated anyone. Not that I'm really anxious to." Tali replied. "Non telepaths are like dating someone screaming every thought at you when you're trying to be intimate with them."

“It’s a good thing JT can be singularly focused.” Mac said with a smirk as she sat back down and elbowed him.
