"We know," Rebecca said. "Tony, you said this was your device? Since I assume it wasn't you that blew up your father's office who has access to these bombs? Nick, since your ex-wife's name keeps coming up let's go talk to her."

"Only if you get her off this planet, New Georgia has offered to take her, although now... " Kalia said as she arrived. "I came as soon as I heard. I am so sorry..." she shook her head. "I don't think she was behind this at all, but there are plenty that think she should have had a bullet in her head. I'm one of them but a part of me still cares because she IS my mother." she looked at the rubble. "Your father was a great guy... we just had beers together a couple weeks ago. I was actually planning on setting up a private security agency, wanted his advice." she sniffled and shook her head. "He was so looking forward to taking little Tasha to pre-school in the spring."

"Still, we best talk to her," Rebecca said simply. "All roads are pointing to Julie."

"Then it's off to the Mount." Angel said as she looked around. "Oh and Aunt Becca... if she WAS behind this, you're my mom. That woman will officially be dead to me."

Rebecca nodded, "No, Ang she will always be your mom. Even if you do disown her." She pressed a communicator, "Jase'dasis Master Sandoval to transporter control. Requesting an official transport to The Mount for myself and Admiral Morris. Authorization code 1-Beta 41."

[Angel Ryder]

"I don't know... I disowned her before but you are entirely more my mom than she is." Angel said bitterly. "I call my step mother 'mom' because she's more worthy of that title than that woman." she clenched her fists and took a breath. "Sorry... I'm... I'm just still in shock." she looked around. "The hell... where are the access control agents? We should have had at least two agents on us when we beamed in. That's protocol."

"Oh we've got you surrounded." a voice said over the intercom. "Cloak suits Admirals."

"Sharpe..." Angel said with an eye roll. "We're here to speak with Julie Lei."

"I'm sorry Admiral, but no one is allowed to see her." Sharpe said and walked out of a small control room. "Orders of the Secretary of State. Solitary confinement while an investigation confirms her guilt and she'll be quietly executed. You're welcome to pick up the remains when it's done."

Damn it! Rebecca thought to herself. She had never been good at mind tricks. Not for the first time she wished Ja'larin was there, not that she expected Shape to be of a "weak mind". Concentrating on the ijulna Rebecca waved her hand in front of Sharpe, "In the name or the Terra Alpha Alliance you will stand aside and allow is to see the prisoner. Due process, and our judicial system will be followed. Murder for murder will not be tolerated. Or I will make certain that you will find yourself in a jail for the rest of your life."

Ryouku Sharpe drew her weapon and pointed it at Sandoval. "I'm sorry ma'am but your mind tricks don't work on me." she pointed to the headband she wore. "You think we don't have precautions against the Jase or the Ajem? Tony Ryder supplied us with quite a few anti-telepath and anti-Ajem'dasis weapons, which I am pretty sure will work just dandy against Jase'dasis. Now... leave or I may have to add you to the list of conspirators. Your own return is pretty fucking questionable."

Angel pulled out a service weapon from under her jacket and shook her head. "You'll put your weapon down Director... we have due process for a reason."

"Doesn't apply to terrorists, of which Julie Lei is one." Sharpe said and kept her position. "It was only a matter of time that this happened. And Madame Secretary St. James agrees with her detention. If she IS found innocent, she's going to be deported to New Georgia. If she even sets foot on Terra Alpha, she loses that foot along with the rest of her."

"Why do you still have a job Sharpe?" Angel said sternly.

"Because I'm doing the hard shit you Ryders won't do." she replied. "And I have no qualms of shooting you both if you get in my way. I'll say it was justifiable. You're just the former President's daughter, you didn't have to work half as hard as I did to get where I am. Besides... you're Julie Lei's daughter, funny how none of you have no loyalty to her. I mean you'd think out of all the kids she shat out, that at least one would be loyal."

Rebecca sighed, "I didn't expect the mind tricks to work." She thought about just using the ijulna to disarm Sharpe, but considering how tightly she was holding the weapon she was sure it would discharge. "My own return is no more questionable than what the president had for breakfast this morning. It is well documented by both the Narlin Medical Corps, the Imperial registries, and the Jase'dasis Council. Now, put down the weapon, and escort us to Julie Lei, and I won't consider this treason against the lawful function of the Alliance government. You don't want a coup d'etat on your conscience do you."

Rebecca reached out with her left palm, and a barrier of the ijulna separated Sharpe from Angel and Rebecca. Activating her communicator, "Sandoval to Sunstrider."

"Sunstrider here," a female voice said.

"Captain, Admiral Morris and I require a security team to escort a... a very dangerous, and high value prisoner to Federal custody for an interview."

"Understood."

"Oh, and captain. Make sure they're loaded for bear."

"Bear ma'am?"

"They'll know what you mean."

"Understood. Erebus out."

Rebecca reached out with her other hand, that was holding the inactive kliden to help her reinforce the ijulna barrier that protected them. "Your choice director. Hero or traitor."

"C'mon Sharpe... you don't want to flush your career over this." Angel said calmly. "You know how this is supposed to work."

"We've been far too soft on people like her, you of all people should be aware of that." Sharpe said and tapped her communicator on her wrist. "Agent Varna... if anyone comes for Prisoner Lei. Shoot them."

"God, you are thick Sharpe... and to think I shared my bao recipe with you." Angel shook her head. "Becca... I think perhaps it's time for a little aggressive negotiation."
