Around Every Corner

[Liara]

"Oh?" Selene inquired.

[Clint Cross]

Clint smiled, "Well... two nights of this..." he gestured to themselves.

[Liara]

She laughed softly, "You make an excellent point Cross and if you keep doing what you've been doing it won't be the last."

[Clint Cross]

"Ohhh I think I can make that happen." Clint said and raised an eyebrow. "Course eventually I really should spend my nights at home buuuut... Jon did say 'oh no problem we can watch Kaitlyn and James never leaves anyway'... "

[Liara]

"No you should spend time with your family." Selene told him as she sat up and looked into his eyes. "I don't want you to have to choose between me and them. If it ever comes down to it Clint you choose them."

[Clint Cross]

Clint nodded his head "Of course... besides, gotta give you something to look forward to anyway."

[Liara]

"Oh I already am." Selene said as she settled back in next to him and closed her eyes. "I already am."

[Clint Cross]

The next morning...

Clint had showered, shaved and gotten dressed and was waiting for Selene in a corner booth at Joe's. James and Noonian were on their way over, deciding at the last minute to come to Joe's instead. Thankfully the bar itself was pretty much empty, just a few agents who had spent the evening at various listening stations were coming in to get some breakfast and wind down before filing their reports

"They should be here soon..." Clint said as he saw Selene walk over. "You look nice."

[Liara]

“Thanks, you should see what I have on underneath.” Selene said causally as she handed him a cup of coffee and slid into the booth next to him.

[Clint Cross]

"Might have to check that out later." Clint said with a wink. "Thanks" he said as he took the coffee and took a sip. "Yeah James and Noonian decided to come here instead."
