The Way Out is Through

Órlaith watched Selene and Clint work their way towards the third floor. "No!" She said under her breath in desperation. "You were supposed to leave, not continue on.

She activated a nearby comm panel and her mother appeared on the screen. "What is it child?" Bellatrix demanded.

"Mama the compound is being infiltrated by Alliance operatives."

"Who?"

"Lanara and Cross," Órlaith replied immediately.

Bellatrix frowned frustrated with herself, "I should have left you in the Time Dialation Chamber and sent your brother, but I wanted to give you practical real-world experience. No matte. No sense in crying over spilt milk. You must work with Gamur. The Alliance must not obtain the asset."

"Yes mama." This time she hesitated.

"I know you are not ready to face top Alliance operatives, but, an Ajem'dasis thrives on long odds. Use your hated for the Alliance and you will survive the day."

"Yes mama."

With that the comm link was terminated leaving Órlaith to her thoughts. Reluctantly she headed for the third level to meet up with the former Jase'dasis and Cardassian.

[Clint Cross]

"We need to play dirty with them, from what I've heard, they don't do as well with multiple targets and chaos they do not start themselves." Clint said as he looked at the kilden. "I've got little... surprises rigged up. That's what took me a minute." he tapped his glasses. "When the fighting starts... just be ready to do whatever it takes, if it looks hairy... pop your belt buckle, there's an emergency beam out. Live to fight another day."

[Liara]

“You know what you’re doing with that?” Selene inquired nodding at the Kilden.

[Clint Cross]

"A little, never really used one in combat." Clint replied. "But it has a power cell, so we can always use it as an explosive if we have to. I still have my tactical arrow heads, just no decent arrows." he glanced at his wrist. "And a working buffer band." he tapped his glasses. "Alright so... from what Ryder told me, when we're fighting Ajem... they can kinda predict what you're going to do if they have a moment to focus, don't give them that moment. Keep them off balance, they do fight better with rage, but shoot to disable, tazer them, anything you can do to keep them from lashing out.

[Liara]

"Guess it's just the Ajem then." Selene said as she holstered her guns and nodded towards the dead bodies surrounding them. She thumbed two Widow's Stings into her palms while thinking about tying her boots, a trick she'd learned to throw off telepaths. "Oh if you happen to see a blonde girl she's mine."

[Órlaith]

Gamur stood defiantly blocking their way. He kliden humming. "You have made an error coming here," he gloated.

[Liara]

"I tried to tell him that.This isn't really my thing. I usually sleep with my targets before I kill them." Selene said with a smirk as she looked Gamur over. "Say what are you doing later?"

Selene flicked the tiny disks in her hands onto the floor where they slid across the floors stopping against Gamur's shoe.

"On second thought I'm actually busy later." Selene said as the disks activated.

[Órlaith]

The Ajem leaped into the air in an inhuman display and while twisting in mid-air he used the ijulna to push the disks back at Selene and Clint. His control was slightly off and they harmlessly away as he landed in the floor in a three point stance.


"I can keep this up all day girly."

"Gamur do you need help?" Órlaith said as she walked to his side. She had shed her robes and was wearing a simple sleeveless black tunic, and pair of billowy black trousers, and a pair of black leather boots the stopped just below the knee. Her kliden was in her hand, but not activated.

Gamur smirked, "I have this child. Run along and play with your dolls."

Órlaith's cheeks reddened as he felt his gaze fall upon her chest. In a backhand stroke the orange blade of her kliden hissed through the air. And with no warning she plunged her kliden into the Cardassian's heart.

With her right hand a fireball slammed into the security console destroying any records of the events that occurred. Another fireball reduced Gamur to a pile of ashes.

Órlaith dropped her kliden and it bounced thrice before rolling away. "I didn't like how he looked at me. He shouldn't look at any woman that way let alone someone who is essentially sixteen."

She glanced around and shook her head in defeat, "The objective is yours. I hope it was worth it. You must kill me now. I have betrayed my family, and I will not be your prisoner. Either way I'm dead. At least this way I can die as an Ajem'dasis should."

[Liara]

Selene moved closer to her signally for Clint to hold his fire.

“I’m not going to kill you.” Selene informed her. “You’re also not going to be a prisoner Orlaith. You made a choice and it saved our lives. I see a lot of me in you before my father finished my training. Make another choice and come with me. I’ll protect you. I owe you a debt.”

[Órlaith]

"I cannot go with you," she replied definitely. "I defied the order to sacrifice myself to stop you. I won't continue my shame. I deserve death for what I have done. If you don't kill me either my mother or my father will."
