The Way Out is Through

[Liara]

Selene nodded as her hand fell away and she took a step back.

“I hope I never see you again I don’t want to kill you.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint looked at the girl and nodded his head. "You always have a choice, remember that. Also... when they talk about the Alliance, while yes... we did rack up an impressive body count, we still spared your life. As for Cece... that's really really interesting." he glanced at Selene. "Our next mission." he extended his hand and flipped out a small card. "If you need an 'out', contact the frequency on this card. Memorize it. Someone will help you. Even if you come out and you're 35... or 45... or 55. You have a choice." he tapped his communicator. "We're leveling this place so... you should really go. Or stay."

[Órlaith]

She looked the card over, "There is something you could do. One of you take credit for killing Gamur, but you must never tell anyone the truth. I'll tell mama I failed. She didn't expect me to succeed anyway."

[Liara]

“Clint can take the credit.” Selene said matter of fact. “Be careful Orlaith and take care Of yourself.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint nodded his head and gave Orlaith a smile. "Just... don't play into your parent's whole game, honestly... it's not going to work out very well in the end. Rise above alright?" he put a tag on one of the crates. "You've got about... five minutes. And hey... being the 'good daughter' is boring."

"I have my duty, and you yours," she said. With that she turned and ran down the corridor. He retreating boots echoing off the walls fading.

[Clint Cross]

"Cute kid." Clint said and glanced at his watch. "I am not letting Dominus use my planet for his weapons... so we got like four minutes." he extended his hand to her. "Beam back to the SUV or out run an explosion through a window?"

[Liara]

Selene watched her go for a moment wishing she’d been able to do more. Orlaith had made her choice and she said she’d honor it. She just reminded her so much of herself when there was still a touch of innocence left. Before her father killed it.

“Beam out.” Selene said as she took Clint’s hand.

[Clint Cross]

Clint took her hand and ordered the beam out, depositing them in front of the SUV. He looked over at her and smiled. "I'd say that wasn't exactly like how our missions go but they do go sideways sometimes. Was kinda hopin' that girl would have said 'yes' and gone with us."

[Liara]

"Me too." Selene said as she looked over at him. "She could have killed me earlier but didn't and I tried to kill her. I fired two shots right between her eyes. If she didn't have those abilities she'd be as dead as the Scions."
