The Way Out is Through

[Clint Cross]

"Warbird... will get us tipsy." Clint chuckled. "It's high test stuff, I swear its just rebottled reactor cleaner. There ARE a few things that'll knock an augment off her ass."

[Liara]

"I may have to try it sometime then." Selene laughed. "In a secure location." She added more seriously.

[Clint Cross]

"Got plenty of those." Clint replied. "So this may be a dumb question, but your version of Dominus... and this is just something that kinda came to me while we were going through those Scions... was he involved with anyone?"

[Liara]

"It's not a dumb question. Your mind was probably looking for a pattern. Some similarity between my reality and his just like when you refer to certain things that you and your wife experienced as if I experienced them too. It's subconscious." Selene said and shrugged. "I don't mind it by the way but to answer your questions...no I don't think he was involved with anyone. If he was he wasn't faithful. It didn't take much to seduce him."

[Clint Cross]

"Interesting... I was just trying to see if your Dominus was similar to our's... or rather her's. This Dominus is from the same reality as she was from." Clint said and hummed. "I mean Nick Ryder in this reality, huge family man. But hugely forgiving. I... murdered his son Marcus. But I can see in another time and place, those kids would be an immediate death sentence."

[Liara]

“If he’d been any other man there would have been nothing left of you.” Selene informed him. “If Ryder and his children had been in my reality...they wouldn’t have survived it long. There’s no room for forgiveness or kindness there.”

[Clint Cross]

"Sounds like your's was pretty close to our Selene's. Interesting..." he tapped his chin. "Other than you taking out Khan but y'know if he didn't keep her on ice and Lucius hooking her up with another agent and then Jackson... Jack had mentioned something that the reality that he pulled Tali from, was similar to another reality he was familiar with."

[Liara]

“You think he meant your wife’s?” Selene inquired as they approached the motor pool entrance. “The general tone of the realities are similar but Dominus is dead in mine and Jackson is in control, his siblings are dead, and my father was very involved in my training.”

[Clint Cross]

"So did Jackson have a similar goal? Pretty much the end of everything because nothing matters?" Clint inquired

[Liara]

“More I’m in charge follow me or die. The ‘or die’ was usually something terribly brilliant he come up with. Usually, it was a new weapon sometimes biological and sometimes it was something so fantastical you couldn’t help but admire the genius. But he never seemed to show an interest in other realities. I don’t know if Tali and I disappearing has changed that. I hope not. I hope I never see him again.” Selene told him suppressing a shiver at the thought of what he might do to her as punishment for her betrayal.
