"Hence why I'm buying dinner." Clint replied. "Hey it's been a while since I've seen a Black Widow in action like that. Easy to forget how good your training your was." he winked his eye. "Still like watching a dance."

[Liara]

"And you thought I had something to prove." Selene said with a roll of her eyes. "I should feel hurt but I'm enjoying the look of admiration in your eyes."

[Clint Cross]

"I just had to see you in action with my own eyes." Clint replied. "I've known far too many agents who think they're in your league and they're sloppy. Or they go too hard. They don't know when to turn the killer part 'off'."

[Liara]

"Even I don't know that." Selene said with a shrug. "I left you one Scion alive because you told me to."

[Clint Cross]

"And the girl." Clint reminded her. "Restraint, it's what's going to keep you alive and employed." he chuckled. "You do realize that your salary is kind of high."

[Liara]

"You actually pay me to do this?" Selene inquired sounding surprised.

[Clint Cross]

"Of course." Clint replied. "Not everything is provided for us and we do support independent craftsmen and techs to make our gear."

[Liara]

"And here I thought the rewards for my service were the orgasms." Selene said with a straight face but there was a twinkle of humor in her eye. "After all you're the only one who has ever been after to make me do it. Oh and the apartment though Joe seems to think that means I have to work for him from time to time."

"Yeah, we all do." Clint rolled his eyes. "Wait until Naval Academy graduation... ugh. That's in a month." he shuddered. "Selene laughed her ass off when she kept seeing these drunk 20 somethings grabbing my ass. And then seeing them shrink to about an inch tall when they realized I wasn't just the 'cute bartender' but the Director and they had dreams of getting into Intel..."

"Well for their sake I hope they study up." Selene said as the elevator doors opened. "I don't like people touching what's mine." Selene whispered in his ear as she walked out.
