“Sounds like a plan.” Selene said handing him the keys. “I’m looking forward to towards the end of the night. But I’m excited for everything in between.”

"Well, we should actually have some actual... dates. Romantic encounters. Normal stuff people do when they're dating." Clint chuckled. "Course, I have no regrets about the past few days. Well... other than that Homebrew but eh... it helped."

[Erica Cross]

Erica had just put Kaitlyn to bed for a nap and walked out to Jon and Bella and pulled out a padd from one of the shopping bags. "I suppose I should tell you the real reason why I came back unannounced." she grimaced as she activated the padd. "Got a death threat from one of the Scions, called me the 'mother of the bastard archer'. Didn't want to put my team at risk. Not that I can't handle myself, but there's always crossfire." she sighed and shook her head. "Although mostly it was because I missed seeing you and Kaitlyn and James, thought you'd need your grandma a bit more after losing Selene, James did tell me there was another version of her. Didn't quite realize she was already dating your father." chuckling lightly. "I'm still shocked and impressed that he managed to woo two Black Widows."

"They clearly are made for each other. I'm rather glad that she didn't crop up while our Selene was still alive, not sure how that would have ended." Jon mused. "But in any case... it's good to have you back. If you don't mind... I wouldn't mind spending a little... alone time with my First Lady..."

"That's also why I'm here." Erica said with a smile. "I'll keep the kids out of your hair. And the dog."

Clint looked at the car that Jon had given Selene and saw his mother's parked across the aisle. "And that's clearly mom's car... vintage Plymouth Dart, you can see us Crosses have a thing for arrows and projectiles. " he pulled the cover off the car marked 'For Selene'. "Nice... Charger Hellcat... I think this will do. I can see it's got the phasers behind the grille and a micro torpedo launcher next to the fog lamps. Total James Bond car. Why don't you drive her out, I'll navigate."

[Liara]

“Why don’t you drive yours?” Selene inquired as she unlocked the doors.

[Clint Cross]

"Because it doesn't have an engine at the moment." Clint tapped the hood and it popped up revealing a seat with a gun rack. "We had this great idea to use it as a bait car... because the old engine blew and we're still waiting on it to come in. But then they caught the ring leader of the car theft group that was stealing government vehicles. Haven't lost a single one in months now, so... yeah... at least this has an engine. Besides, you can still BS the road patrol if you get caught speeding. Just say 'presidential business, I'm the First Lady's mother' gets them to back off every single time."

[Liara]

“Well that’s a pretty good reason to never drive it.” Selene laughed as she opened the car door and got in. “I have to warn you it’s been a very long time since I’ve driven anything. Oh this is nice...I hope I don’t wreck it.”

[Clint Cross]

"There's an AI autopilot juuuust in case. When they set up the planet, they decided that old fashioned rolling cars were safer, lot of weird anomalies and a lot of uncharted areas, plus there were more than a few close calls with shuttles and air cars, so they sent over thousands of old cars, refit and all modern, but no one remembered how to drive other than a few retro lovers, so basic AIs were installed, plus... it helps keep the car from crashing when you're shooting at someone."

[Liara]

“That’s useful.” Selene said. “AI...Rommie or some other AI?”

[Clint Cross]

"It's another one, although we could put Rommie in here, although ever since the kids put her in an alarm clock, she's not exactly a fan of being a voice in a box." Clint chuckled.

[Liara]

“I don’t blame her.” Selene said as she started the car. “I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a box either.”
