[Clint Cross]

"Maybe... your eyes are a little different but I think she could probably pick up that you weren't exactly from a place that valued family like we do here. Probably put up the steely gaze of a hardened agent. Apparently it's a 'tell' we both have when we're working versus when we're just screwing around." Clint shrugged his shoulders. "She always knew when I was on the job and that was on my mind."

[Liara]

"She's preceptive. Apparently you make smart kids." Selene said with a grin. "So this place...real animal flesh? Not replicated?."

[Clint Cross]

"We have actual ranches, which we're kind of related to. Natalia's grand niece Trinity and her husband own a ranch and his father owns a ranch, so there's a lot of actual real beef and pork and chicken and other various animals around that are served up here. As well as those berries that you love so much, she has the largest berry farm in the County and pretty much the most popular ones because Bella and Jon made a fuss over how good they were and everyone wanted them." Clint chuckled. "But yeah... it's almost weird eating replicated meat now. You can tell the difference. Although if you're not used to the real thing, start out small... your body will notice the difference."

[Liara]

"Good." Selene said. "I had steak once. Jackson served elaborate dinner and told me it was the real thing. I wasn't impressed. I'm pretty sure he was full shit and was just trying to get in my pants. I don't know if you've been to Xenex but they don't have cows."

[Clint Cross]

"Jackson in pretty much any reality where he's an asshole like that, is usually full of shit." Clint agreed. "Only ever really met two... and our's was cool until this whole crap fest... but I do hope he and Kinsey figure out their shit and get back to how they used to be. Before they got pushed to blow up worlds and mentally control entire populations." he shuddered. "Jack was always so damn ethical even when I asked him to just... well, push a man far enough I suppose."

[Liara]

"With the right motivation anyone can be pushed beyond their limits." Selene informed him. "It's just a question of what it is. I've spent my life finding that motivation and exploiting it before eventually end them. Most require no effort some require a bit more effort. Those I usually liked because they were actually challenging. You don't know what they did to them but I know Jackson and I knew his father so I've a bit of an idea. Don't be so hard on them. From what I've read about Calhoun she'd do anything for her family. Is there nothing you'd do for you family Clint?"

[Clint Cross]

Clint nodded his head. "Good point... well I just never thought they COULD destroy worlds. That's a power I never thought any one person could possess." he sighed heavily. "That would explain why they took themselves off the board, went to parts unknown, left us with their kids."

[Liara]

"I would." Selene said. "I wouldn't be able to trust myself around them that or I wouldn't be able to look them in the eye."

[Clint Cross]

"Yeah, it's just... it's messed up is all. I'm sure once we've figured out what we're doing with Dominus and his brood... then we can work things out." Clint said and walked into the restaurant. "Mmm... place still smells great."

“We can figure that out in three days.” Selene said smiling at him. “Right now steak!”
