Another Crashed Car

[Nick Ryder]

"You thought of everything." Nick said with an amused smile as he handed over the chip. "I love how you two think that I'm not going to handle whatever you've got planned well. I lived in a friggin' tree for two months, a sewer for four months and the back of a Type 3 shuttle that was as old as Starfleet itself practically. As long as the rations aren't expired."

[Alice Ryder]

Rommie laughed, "You say that now."

"Oh Rommie the truck..."

"Already taken care of." Rommie smirked as she took the chip. "You should go. You just missed the contractors but they'll be back."

"Thank you Rommie and I'm truly sorry for what comes later." Alice said giving her a hug.

"I'll be fine but you should go." Rommie said as she opened the door for them.

[Nick Ryder]

"Thanks again Rommie. Since I'll be away for a while... tell BECKI not to enact the Epsilon 18 protocols. I'm coming back. It took me months to get into my databases after she scrubbed everything." Nick shook his head and followed after Alice. "I trust my wife and her plans... still... save us at least a couple months of bullshit when this is over alright?" He caught up to Alice and Gale. "So... now can you tell me some of this plan of your's?"

[Alice Ryder]

"Well..." Alice said as they walked into Clint's garage. The roof was all ready retracted and the shuttles engines were idling. "Right now Rommie is transmitting my data to Jack. Then she'll read my note and restore from a backup three months ago. She'll have no memory of us being here. Which also means she may not recall Selene is gone. That I didn't program and I don't know why Selene chose three months. A week would have been fine and I feel terrible about it. I don't even know if Clint knows about it."

Alice helped Gale into the shuttle.

"Right now your truck has been taken care of in about 10 or 15 minutes there will be no trace of it." Alice told him as she climb aboard after Gale. "And we need Clint's shuttle because it's completely untraceable. Kinsey programed the coordinates to our destination. Even I only have a general idea of where we're going. Not a single one of us had the full picture of this plan. Well I suppose I kind of do but not the end of it."

“I am impressed, that is a classic Dark 9 protocol based idea. No one has a clue and the breadcrumbs are so hard to figure out. I love it. Genius my dear.”

[Liara]

“Once we take off I’ll tell you our destination.” Alice promised. “I don’t know how quickly Rommie will reboot and You never know who could be listening.”

[Nick Ryder]

“We really should have let her remember that the Selene that Clint is with isn’t her original... unless she has a backup.” Nick hummed. “Not my design no idea. So how do you feel about this? I mean this is shockingly close to what I should have done but worried how you would have felt having everything uprooted.”

[Alice Ryder]

“I would do anything to protect our son Nicholas.” Alice said as she slipped into the pilot’s chair and typed in a series of commands. The engines engaged and the shuttled slowly lifted out of the garage. Once it cleared the garage the roof closed behind them, the shuttles cloak engaged, and the engines kicked in sending them into space.

“Daddy’s truck!” Gale said excitedly pointing at pickup truck floating back into the atmosphere.

“Ah yes it would seem so. At least for another minute or two.”

“You’re spacing the truck. I love it.” Nick chuckled and smiled at Gale “He seems to be enjoying this. So dear you do realize we’re two of the most well known people in the galaxy. I hope Selene packed something to make us look a little different.”

[Alice Ryder]

“We won’t need it.” Alice said as she watched the truck burn up in the atmosphere. The ship automatically banked and head off on its course. “Alright...we’re going to Xenex. Its one of the few places we’ll be able to hide our body temperatures in. Especially, if someone has a flare up. Kinsey said there were caves used by the resistance during Tiberius’ rule that will suit our needs. They’re deep enough in the desert no one will know we’re there. They’re also well stocked and Xenex is the last planet anyone would expect to find you.”
