Another Crashed Car

"Yeah they were fun to read, so weird how they got quotes from us when they never talked to either of us. Still, it helped the civilians distract themselves a bit from the realities of war. I know a few people have mentioned to me that they kind of enjoyed the whole 'thing' with us, having someone larger than life but we were always fairly accessible. Like, I don't think either of us ever turned down meeting with a school group unless we had some major meeting or something else already scheduled. That was the one part of the Presidency I enjoyed. Made them feel like anything is possible, if they put their minds to it." he gasped as he saw the clouds part. "Wow... that's a view of England I never thought I'd see in anything other than holovids. Alright so, if I remember my geography... there's an old MI-5 station... there... so we avoid that."

“Oh wait!” Alice said and typed at the console. “I might have a location. If you really want to go home...here. According to this our Estate appears to be vacant. Though oddly fell into the Huntington family name around this time.”

[Nick Ryder]

"Well I'd say that's a good a place as any..." Nick said with a wink. "So milady Huntington... let's claim that and once we get some equipment from GN2, we'll start to get it livable. Unless it already IS livable, then we just hire some locals to help maintain the grounds." he looked at the screen. "Looks like we'll have a place to park this. Not too far from a few nice restaurants and pubs. Close to schools. At least by car or shuttle. I'll just need a little time to get things set up for us. I am so glad I memorized old agency access codes. Why don't you take us down, I'll get us set up." he slid the chair he was in over to a side console and started to type quickly on the console, pulling up Section 31 access databases and treating it as if he was an undercover operative setting up an alias and a paper trail. The agency wouldn't question his credentials as they worked into their system the ability for agents and even directors to do that, as long as they knew the codes and they could verify credentials. V'Pier had taught him more than a few tricks over the years and his previous time travel experience had given him enough knowledge of who and what to do and say, that he got through and in a matter of minutes had set up full credentials for himself and Alice and Gale as their son. They'd have funds, a real enough looking records history, and with him setting their status as 'sleeper' agents, they wouldn't be contacted or 'outed' by the Agency.

"Alright... we're legit... I put more funds into your account since you'll probably be the one doing most of the shopping and arrangements for the house." Nick said as he handed her a card. "I don't have a full bio for us yet, but for now we're legit enough in this era. Once we've settled in I'll work up the appropriate covers, but for now we're sleeper agents getting settled in, S31 won't bother us. They know better."

[Alice Ryder]

“Good I would really hate for someone to disappear and disrupt the timeline.” Alice as she gently piloted the shuttle down.

[Nick Ryder]

"And as connected as the world and the Federation is, there are so many gaps and loopholes we can use." Nick said as he made a few final adjustments. "I've also set up the shuttle mask its signature to appear like a current era shuttle, so we can use it until we find something here, we just keep it phase cloaked." He got up and stretched. "So shall I carry you over the threshold?"

Alice laughed softly, “You have that look. I don’t think you’ll take no for an answer.”

[Nick Ryder]

"I think i can even carry you, while you carry Gale." Nick said with a smile as he gave a final check of the exterior sensors. "Huh, that's a big estate, looked smaller from the air. That little hill and the stream sort of fool you a bit. Shame this whole area was bombed out during the Imperium rule to be an alien detention facility, I think. Dom and Marcus were telling me that so many of these old estates were just trashed." he took a deep breath and hit the hatch control and picked up Alice in his arms. "Lady Alice of Huntington... welcome home."

"Daddy you're weird." Gale said giggling.

Alice laughed as she wrapped her arms around Nick's neck and kissed him.

"Yes but we love him for it." Alice said lovingly.

[Nick Ryder]

"Wow... that's some house." Nick said as he carried Alice and Gale from the shuttle to the ancient looking estate house. "Definately needs some fixing up and TLC, but yeah... I can see potential here. Look at that garden over there, those sad topiaries and... is that a rose garden maze?" he was practically giddy, but then he saw the two massive stone lions 'guarding' the front door. "According to the shuttle, the house has been unoccupied for almost a year, only thing that's kept eminent domain is the family land deed and that everything was paid up for a very long time. So a couple hours of work getting us slotted into the official records and this will be our home officially."

"Good Mr. Huntington." Alice laughed softly.
