Breathing Underwater

[Angel Ryder]

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Angel asked as she followed Yoshi. "Or just something..." she held up a finger as she heard footsteps. "Over there..." she whispered and pointed to a side corridor.

"You should really get into the prisoner detail... it's a lot more interesting than weapons storage..." one of the clone trooper said as he walked alongside another trooper.

"Oh you just want to keep beatin' on that little chick in the mask down there... she's not gonna screw ya brother. Last one that tried ended up in the infirmary." the other trooper chuckled.

"Might be worth it." he said with a chuckle. "They wouldn't have given us a libido if it wasn't to use it y'know?"

"Right... right... still there are easier." the other said and glanced toward the other corridor. "You hear something?"

Yoshi waved his hand. "You didn't hear anything... it was just the ship."

"You didn't hear anything, it's just this creaky ship... stop jumpin' at nothing." the trooper said to his companion.

"Yeah, probably right..." he said as they continued on.

Angel waited a few moments and then looked at Yoshi and gave him a fist bump.

"That was impressive... alright... let's get this done before we're not able to mind trick our way out." Angel whispered.

[Rebecca Talon]

"Halt!" A trooper shouted from behind them. Then he saw Rebecca's kliden, "Jase'dasis!" He shouted and raised his disruptor and fired. As another ran up to help his companion.

Rebecca blocked the disruptor pulses with the blade of her kliden. With her free right hand she used the ijulna to rip the second trooper's weapon out of his hands. It clattered to the deck bouncing until it came to a rest at Rebecca's feet. She then used the ijulna to lift the second trooper into the air and threw him against a bulkhead knocking him unconscious.

Not giving the first trooper time to react Rebecca repeated the process and they both lay in a pile on top of each other. Rebecca stared down at the disruptors at her feet before a quick slash of her kliden they were destroyed.

"There," she said as she deactivated her kliden. "To answer your question. It means that it is someone who has a strong connection with the ijulna, but they haven't been trained in either the ways of the Jase or Ajem."

[Angel Ryder]

"Alright so... not an angel or a devil... " Angel said a she crouched down and picked up one of the power cells from the destroyed disruptor. "AlphaTek design clearly a knock off." she tossed it down and pulled out her phaser. "Or what passes for it in another reality." she shivvered slightly.

[Rebecca Talon]

"I would expect that it is AlphaTek based," Rebecca stated. "That tech is ubiquitous."

[Angel Ryder]

"Which is good... because I know how to disable it." Angel replied and then looked around. "I know I'm not nearly as in tune with the Iljuna as you or dad or even Yoshi but... I'm sensing something... someone. Maybe on maternity leave you can teach me a little more... but for now... this mission is making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end."

[Rebecca Talon]

Rebecca looked at Angel, and then Yoshi, and with a smile, "I think we'll get out of this just fine. I have a feeling."

[Angel Ryder]

"You... optimistic... now I'm even more optimistic... but I still sense something OFF.' Angel said and looked at the systems access ports. "These are weird ports... Yoshi?"

"They use a sort of data rod as a system access port. Find an officer. We can use theirs to get access and then, we can finish this sooner than later and then focus on blowing this ship to kingdom come." Yoshi replied.

"Good thing I packed plenty of micro explosives." Angel wiggled her eyebrows. "I'm also anticipating locked doors."

[Rebecca Talon]

"I didn't say it would be easy. I can't sense the details. Just a general feeling of an outcome, and that my friend is that it's going to work out. As far as locked doors, my kliden should be able to get us through them if we can't find a key, and that doesn't alert the whole ship like an explosive."

Meanwhile --

Ang had fashioned a sort of shiv out of her broken badge, Tomarah's coin and the folded plastic of the bottle she was given her 'mush' in. One thing that she and her counterpart could do, was plan moves in their head and then act them out before they did them for real to build a muscle memory. She would lure the guard in, strike him in the one weak point under the helmet of their armor, immediately crush his windpipe so he couldn't immediately call out for help. Then, snap his neck and quickly change into parts of his armor that she could put on easily, at least the boots, chest plate and utility belt and then get the lenses and computer control board out of his helmet. Then... they would make up the rest of the plan if she could pull that off.

A part of her actually had hope that she wouldn't die on this ship...

"Tomarah... it's almost time... be ready when I give the word." Ang said as she knelt down and waited for the guard.

[Tomarah t'Sei]

Tomarah stood with her hands clasped before her with her eyes closed in concentration. She had decided too enhance her hearing the same way that she'd learned how to heal. The possibilities seemed endless now that she knew that this ijulna did other things.

"There are two of them. I can hear their steps. One of them had a slight limp. Considering they don't allow defective clones he must have done something special."
