Around Every Corner

[Liara]

“You have to be or your dead.” Selene said. “Or worse captured.”

[Clint Cross]

Clint nodded his head. "It happened a few times, despite everything in her power. Only way through it was that she managed to have friends help her."

[Liara]

“She had you.” Selene said with a small smile as she sat her plate aside and picked up her wine glass. “I never had that before. It’s always been just me.”

[Clint Cross]

"It's good to have a partner, never had one before Selene." Clint replied and sipped his wine. "Didn't realize just how useful it is to have someone who can have your back and fights at the same level. And to spend time with when there isn't a mission."

[Liara]

“Guess I’ll find out.” Selene said eyeing him. “Down time seems to worth the attachment so far.”

[Clint Cross]

"And there's lots we can do... besides what we did last night... and tonight..." Clint said as he covered up the leftover containers and gave her a look. "I was thinking maybe we'll take the weekend and just explore the Capitol together. Maybe get you a vehicle of your own. Are you more of a cycle person, car person, or do you go for the flying variety? When they set this planet up, they built it with a lot of roads and encouraged ground vehicles."

[Liara]

“I’m trained on all of it but I enjoyed my time on cycles the most.” Selene replied refilling her glass. “And I think I’d enjoy that...exploring with you. That we meet with Noonian and James tomorrow I won’t have to stay stuck in here. It’ll be nice to get out.”

[Clint Cross]

"Got a few of those..." Clint said as he finished off his wine. "All styles, colors, and weapon load outs. I mean you're not exactly quarantined here, but at least until we get things set up for you, it's less confusing. Who knows what enemies Selene still has out there that she knew about but never told me."

[Liara]

“You’re just being cautious and I would do the same.” Selene said as her eyes drifted over him. “I don’t mind staying put. I’m not going stir crazy yet. You’ve managed to keep me entertained so far.”

[Clint Cross]

"That's good... and hey Tali and you are going to go out tomorrow. That should be fun." Clint said and refilled his glass. "Hopefully not more fun than tonight..."
