The Way Out is Through

[Órlaith]

Órlaith gave Selene a confused expression, "You do not prescribe to 'expand or die'? Is that not antithetical to nature?"

[Liara]

“Space is infinite. Why do you need to expand to other realities?” Selene inquired. “But it’s not my job to debate ideology. I’m a weapon.”

[Órlaith]

"As is my purpose, but I want more. Don't you?"

[Liara]

“I’m starting to.” Selene replied honestly and took a step closer to Orlaith. “Stay with us and learn for yourself beyond what your mother or father may have told you. You’re a smart girl decide for yourself and maybe together we’ll be more then weapons.”

[Órlaith]

She sighed, and nodded, "Unfortunately sometimes you don't get a choice. There is loyalty to one's family, and they need me to be a weapon... a better weapon. I'm still learning." She glanced around and drew the hood back over her head. "There are a total of five acolytes here. Only one of them, their leader, has any experience. Be careful of him. He was a former Jase'dasis. Until next time, and I hope it doesn't come to a fight. I like you."

[Liara]

“I like you too.” Selene said and smiled. “Hey kid...what’s your name?”

[Órlaith]

She grinned widely, "Órlaith. It means golden princess. I guess because I'm the only blonde Sandoval in the family." With that she faded into the shadows and was gone having sensed the approach of Clint.

[Liara]

Maybe because you’re meant to be different. Selene thought as she raised her gun and fired at a Scion as he approached her hitting him between the eyes.

[Clint Cross]

Clint had arrived in typical fashion by running as fast has he could while dodging phaser blasts. "Incoming!" he called out as he jumped over the railing and landed on the ground and fired his machine pistols at the Scions that were following him, taking each out with one shot each. "There's at least a couple Ajem... fucker slashed by quiver, served him right... blew up in his face." he looked around. "Got one of these now." he held up the kilden. "Might be useful. Always wanted to screw around with one."

[Liara]

“There are five and one is a former Jase'dasis.” Selene informed him as she fired over his shoulder at a Scion. “The four shouldn’t be an issue. The leader is probably guarding our target.”
