The Way Out is Through

[Clint Cross]

"Well, you're not going away and it's likely we're going to be spending our nights at one or the other's place. Besides, I haven't seen my daughter in a few days, I have to remind her that I still exist y'know. Otherwise she's really going to think Jon's her dad." Clint chuckled lightly. "I don't entirely mind, Bells and Jon lost the baby they were expecting in Bartyn's attack. Granted Kaitlyn's a bit older but it's filling a void for Jon at least, that and all of Kinsey and Jack's kids. Little Alex kinda likes playing with her. We had something of a baby boom, this planet... if you're capable of having kids, you kinda will."

[Liara]

“The way you talk about Kaitlyn I wouldn’t mind meeting her. Bella on the other hand...should I be armed?” Selene inquired.

[Clint Cross]

"Just with snark." Clint said with a smirk. "Bella is sometimes... Bella, but she likes to see me happy and she'll probably want to see you anyway. Even if she's like 'who's this impostor wearing my mom's face', even if Selene technically never gave birth to her. So clearly alternate timeline now... "

[Liara]

Selene sipped her coffee as she thought over a course of action on how to deal with Isabella Cross.

"So when did you want to leave?" Selene inquired grinning.

[Clint Cross]

"Well after we eat... get dressed. Could do a few things in between those two." Clint said with a smile. "And then after we visit the Compound, entirely up to you."

[Liara]

"I believe you promised you'd show me the city." Selene reminded him.

[Clint Cross]

"Then that entirely sounds like a plan." Clint agreed. "I'll take you to Leo's, it's Alpha Section's 'Joe's', but bigger and a bit fancier. We like to joke in the Community that every bar has a secret Intel office under it. Keeps the rowdy drunks and frat boys in line. That hot girl... may just be a deadly assassin super secret agent." he smirked and shook his head. "Although then again in Capitol City... it's almost a safe bet that everyone is more than they appear. Even the semi-homeless looking guys are probably Secret Service."

[Liara]

"Do these semi-homeless looking guys like you?" Selene inquired as she finished her cup of coffee.

[Clint Cross]

"Who do you think hired some of them?" Clint said with a wink of his eye. "Some of them were actually homeless more out of their own choice or because they're kind of unlivable. Kind of the guys you'd see on space ports or on starbases or other transient areas, they would bounce as they wanted, taking up odd jobs and such. Some are incredibly high trained and skilled operators but just couldn't take the structure of Starfleet, so Nick and I spent a good year going around, recruiting the sane ones, making sure the complete nut jobs were taken care of, but we gave them three rules. One, be ready to act when we need them, stay clean, no hard drugs or the like, don't make civilians feel 'weird' and of course don't break the fucking law." he rolled his eyes. "It took a bit of work, but we got a lot of ready to go agents out and about that get a stipend, gear when they need it and pretty much we leave 'em alone. They like the freedom"

"And you gain a vast intel network." Selene said with a grin. "It'll be fun trying to spot them."
