Operation: Sigma

[Nick Ryder]

"What in the hell happened up there?" Nick said over the monitor. "Computer, holographic interface." with that he appeared holographically in the shuttle and walked around. "Is that Cross? No... no that's an Ajem." he crouched down and looked at him. "Hey, Rommie, maximum speed, authorized to use Phase cloak, get back to the hospital, I've got a secure detention cell we can put him in. Mount is not secure yet."

[Selene Cross]

“It might be a great time for you to tell Clint.” Selene said as she wiped off her lipstick. “I’m sorry about Segma.” Selene added as the shuttle lifted off and the wedged ship opened fire. She hoped Ethan and his men managed to get out in time.

[Nick Ryder]

"Yeah... we'll figure it out later, I can get a new one deployed. Luckily 'Admiral Ryder' works for me and my daughter." Nick said and rubbed his neck. "So we've got another Clint... good tech, usually my comms are unbreakable, but he managed that. I'll write up a patch for the sensor network, but it is bad that they managed to slip one of their own ships through our line without detection already."

[Selene Cross]

“Considering who was in charge of it I’m not surprised.” Selene said as Rommie cloaked the ship and set course to Terra Alpha. “He’s Clint without his compassion and with powers.”

[Ethan Talon]

Ethan scooped up Trinity's discarded hand, and activated his communicator, "Erebus, evac now!"

A transporter beam grabbed him and he was standing on a transporter pad next to Dougal and a dozen other Marines. Ethan turned to Dougal, "Get everyone who is still walking down the the Marine command deck. I need a full head count. We need to know how many we lost meet me in sickbay."

The Scotsman only nodded, as another group of Marines beamed onto the ship. Ethan didn't delay any further, and was off.

He entered sickbay to find it was in chaos. Nurses and doctors where rushing about treating the injured. Ethan found Trinity sleeping peacefully in a corner.

Realizing hw still had Trinity's hand he pulled off her ring and handed it to a nurse. "See that this goes into stasis will you?"

She took it obviously perturbed by it, and left. Sitting next to her bed he held her right hand and weeped.

[Trinity Talon]

Trinity woke up a short time later and looked at Ethan. "I'll be fine... really..." she said in her half dazed state. "Did I really pass out? Guess the shock is real when that happens. At least we'll match, Grandpa Nick will probably make me something really cool to replace it." then it hit her. "My ring... my engagement and wedding ring was on that hand... never should have kept it on..." she mentally cursed herself for keeping it on, so used to office life that she didn't take her rings off when in the field.

[Ethan Talon]

Ethan chuckled grimly, "Well, if you are worried about your rings you must be okay." He extended his right hand and opened it to reveal the rings sitting in the center of his palm. "The rest you," he grimaced at that, "Is in a stasis chamber, though I'm not sure how much good it'll do you."

[Trinity Talon]

"Destroy it." Trinity said with a heavy sigh. "Or see if they can do what they did with Grandpa Nick's hand, but the nerve endings and bone have been burnt... " she looked at her wrapped stump. "Easier to replace it. It's funny... well not funny ha ha but funny ironic... I nearly lost that hand to the hay bale machine. Broke my wrist but it was easy enough to heal... " she smiled slightly. "At least now I get a purple heart instead of embarrassment."

[Ethan Talon]

"How is that fair?"He teased. "I get blown up and only get one. You recieve a flesh wound..." He smiled, "Well, congratulations."

[Trinity Talon]

"Hey you got a producing ranch and me when you got back." Trinity reminded him. "I'm trying very hard not to freak out that I just lost a hand to an Ajem... or what you did after I got attacked."
