"No, but then again, you're not a baby... Kaitlyn will always sorta take first priority even over Bella and Bella... well, he bonded with her first." Jonas replied. "Seriously though, Bartyn is crazier than a box of Vulcan sehlats. I don't think you want him as a father figure." he looked into her eyes. "What we both need is a break from this whole crazy family. Just the two of us, it's a big planet. Although I will be honest, I think the only reason Kassie's holding onto your old job, it's because she's waiting for Jason to put a baby in her. She pretends to not want it, but I've worked around her long enough to know when she's focusing on something. I don't think she owns a single panty. Seriously. The skirts have gotten just a tad longer and so are her lunch breaks. Not sure what this whole obsession with having kids is lately, I mean... sure I want one someday, but... it's like dating to marriage to having a kid almost before the honeymoon. After seeing what Kinsey and Jack's are like... I don't want that to be our new full time job. Keeping them out of trouble. At least little Carly has stopped hacking our computers." he rolled his eyes. "And who has to be the one to walk around the whole damn compound telling people what the new codes are? Me. I dunno, I'm getting tired of security. Can't we just be semi-lazy bums? How about a little resort or something? Only a few cabins or rooms or whatever, hire help to manage most of it, we just spend the day tending bar and mingling?"

“You could always go home.” Solara offered.

"I dunno, it's not as much home for me anymore. Hard to explain." Jonas said with a sigh. "Maybe. Although like I said, this is a big planet, lots of places for us to find a corner and just get ourselves a bit lost. That said, I have had my fill of cooked rats and vermin."

“When was the last time you actually at a rat?” Solara laughed and hugged him tighter. “I will go where you want.”

"Not that long ago... seems so many of the Xenexians enjoy it... I don't. Not when I've been able to actually eat real food." Jonas chuckled and held her close. "Honestly I have no idea where I really want to go... why don't we load up a map, pick a spot, pack some bags and just go."

Solara smiled up at him.

“I like that idea but first...make love to me.” Solara said looking into Jonas’s eyes. “Fiancée.”

"Wonder how that'll feel..." Jonas said as he carried her to the bedroom.

“How what will feel?” Solara inquired innocently as Jonas laid her down on the bed.

"It actually being what we do as a couple..." Jonas said and kissed her lips. "I've even been thinking about our name... they call me Calhoun but it's short hand. Not many Terrans can really say my family name, even I have a hard time because well... I was like 11 when we stopped using it."

“Oh I always thought it had to do with the city you were from.” Solara said touching his face. “What is it?”
