"The Asgrad? My grandmother mentioned them to me once." Tereska said with a slight hum. "Fascinating... and yes... my grandmother is... quite old." she said with a smile. "It seems there are even more things for me to get interested in here now. I'll admit... I was getting homesick, wondering if we should at least attempt a return but I'd be foolish to risk getting really lost in time and space. I'll be quite honest, I would love to visit your homeworld. Probably the closest I will get to seeing..." she bit her lower lip. "I am having a really really hard time here."

"My mother is part Siofran... I've got more Terran in me... but that's part of the reason why I and my family keep our good looks well into old age." Nick said and sighed. "That was one of the reasons they went back to hiding, they really don't like others knowing about them, given that of the El'Aurian offshoots, they're one of the last that weren't wiped out by the Borg or by other threats. Her great-grandmother was something of a Princess. Another royal family is related to my ex-Noella... which is where Jack got his telepathy from." he explained and shrugged his shoulders. "In some ways both our races are considered by some to be 'Elves'. Course I think you Narlins are the much more Elvish. You're like bloody Lord of the Rings characters come to life."

"Never really quite thought of that but... huh... I always did call myself the little 'nursing elf' because usually most of my patients are asleep when I come in and I'm gone by the time they wake up. 'Where'd that bed pan come from?' 'Must have been the nursing elves'!" Tereska said with an easy laugh.

Magus chuckled, his wife stared at him in confusion. He explained to her the ancient Earth saga, and the they resembled the author's descriptions.

"You know," Magus said casually, "According to our mythology Narlins did not evolve on Talaria. Narla brought us to our new home along with a small number of Asgrad over ten Millenia ago. There could be a scientific basis for it. The Iconians, or the Q perhaps."

"Kind of how the Siofrans came around... El'Aurians that ran to Earth millennia ago, then ran to another planet and then another..." Tereska shrugged her shoulders. "Only constant in the universe is change and move."

[Magus Stormtalon]

"I cannot argue that," Magus said politely. "Though, most of our people think the mythos is more of an analogy or parable. Not something to be taken literally, and human elves are nothing more than coincidence. After all there's only so many variations you can have to the humanoid form."

"Biologically speaking that's pretty true... we've all got a lot in common, oh sure there are different elements and things are in different locations and our planets sort of adapted us to fit them, not the other way around..." Tereska said with a smile. "We're all more alike than we're different."

[Magus Stormtalon]

"Indeed we are. Nicholas why haven't you told me what a delightful mother you have?"

"You haven't met my mom? Thought for sure you did... well if you like the younger version, you'll like the one that actually raised me. Just as perky." Nick said with a smile. "Even more brilliant."

"I would hope so." Tereska said with a grin. "Still, I think the less you consider me 'mom' the better. I'm... like still in my twenties. Lee and I haven't even gotten married." she blushed slightly. "Guess that was a good choice even though... I always had second thoughts."

"Guess you can be the Tess Kellow that takes a different path." Nick suggested.

"Well, what THIS Teri Kellow wants right now... is food. Although if you have to go to your sister... then go man go! I can entertain the Emperor. Wouldn't be the first one." she said and looked at his wife. "Of course, the wife usually is always neglected in these things... you've been here before, she hasn't. Neither have I... but I love exploring a new city, even more so with new people. This padd thingy... it's pretty comprehensive right?"

"My wife and I practically wrote it so yeah... you feel up to exploring?" Nick said as he reached into his pocket. "Here, take this, it's my card. All this is on me, now that I'm not President anymore, I can actually tap into my patent profits again. Magus, we'll catch up a little later. Show the ladies a good time. Take a car if you want from the garage. I should have something that fits someone as tall as you. I am pretty sure if I don't let her go with you, she'll bombard me with questions about Narlins and who better to answer them?"

Magus stared at the card as if Nick had offered him the head of his fist born child. Wincing he took a breath to measure his response to the insult. After all this was certainly a clash of cultures. "That will not be necessary, my friend, and we have our own transportation. I do thank you for the guide."

[Tereska Kellow]

"Well, then I'll take the card." Tereska said with a grin. "Considering this lovely uniform is all I have and I'm going to be here for the foreseeable future, maybe I'll take the Lady Stormtalon and her daughter shopping later, while you two talk important business. But I am very much looking forward to spending the afternoon with you and your wife and daughter."

"Sounds like you have your guide and a lunch date." Nick said with a nudge of his shoulder to Magus.

He gave Nick a look and shook his head in amusement, "Go, where ever it is that you need to be. We shall be fine. Just have your assistant let us know when you plan to come to Talaria."
