Ashley frowned, "I can handle myself, but yeah, we don't need them harassing us." She reached out with her mind and a trash can flew off the curb and bounced off the windshield, causing the other driver to swerve. Unfortunately, he quickly corrected, and was back to the chase. "I was hoping it would break the glass."

Kirby glanced in the rear view mirror "Just needs something heavier or more directed." she rolled over the curb and glanced at Ashley. "Buckle up." she tapped a button which rolled a panel over on the dash. "Let's see if the ordinance is still good." tapping a green button the back hood popped up slightly and a micro torpedo launcher raised up and fired at the pursing car. "A bit overkill I know... but..." she bit her lower lip and waited as it struck the front of the car, sending it careering into a building.

"Bingo... now... let's do something really stupid and see who they are."

"There's a reason we are being followed.... It doesn't seem like a bad idea to me to know who a potential enemy is."

"Stay behind me." Kirby said as she got out of the car first and drew her sidearm. "OUT OF THE CAR. SLOWLY." she ordered as the three men in the came out with weapons drawn. "Drop the pieces... I've got another missile aimed at your car, you raise them, I don't leave enough for a corner to identify."

"You shouldn't have come back Ryder." one of them said as he glared at her.

"Free planet." Kirby replied and slowly approached. "Let me guess... Devereaux Consortium? I can tell by the cheap suits."

"This is just a warning... keep out of our business, we keep outta your's." another said with a sneer. "The DC is bigger than it was and this is the only warning you're gonna get."

"Uh huh..." Kirby cocked her head. "You really don't know me very well." she said as she slipped her sunglasses on and 'tagged' each of them. "Secure slide by 3." she said into her lapel and instantly the three goons were beamed away to a secure private detention transport buffer. "DC... I hate the DC." she muttered. "Drug runners, busted up their organization before Terra Alpha became independent, they'd send some goons to try and restart things, we'd bust them, they'd try again. My late husband's old Motorcycle Club used to keep them in line, but the club's moved away from the Capitol it seems. Sorry about that Ashley, guess I'm a dangerous friend to have. C'mon let's drop you off at your hotel."

Ashley smirked, and there was fire in her eyes. She hadn't listened when Kirby had told her to stand behind Kirby. The phaser she had been given wasn't drawn either. One hand was extended. "I don't think there is anything to be sorry about. At least on your part. It's not like you told them to give you this 'warning'." She inhaled deeply, "There's something about the air on this planet. Invigorating."

"It is pretty good to be back here... it's a great planet, keeps growing. I was shocked at how much it grew in just the four almost five years I've been gone, when this started... we were using big industrial excavators to lay foundations and literally beaming in buildings. Although the first thing we had were roads, I loved racing down these streets." Kirby said as she sighed happily. "Taught my son to drive when he was barely 10. So Ashley... if you ever need anything, just call me. Anyone messes with you or you just need a familiar face, I'm a comm call away. Transporters are kinda regulated but I'm 'family' I got access to the 'secret' network we installed before the public ones. I can be anywhere in less than a couple minutes."

"Hey we have to look out for each other." Kirby said as she pulled up to the hotel and rolled toward the back entrance. "Keep the phaser and... son of a..." she muttered as she saw a familiar looking black towncar parked nearby. "Nick's here?" she said as she rolled up the driver's side of the car and reached out the window and rapped her knuckles on the tinted black windows.

"Not quite." Kassie said as she rolled the window down. "Got Prez Price in the back. Lieutenant Walker... Kassie Calhoun, Jack's daughter in law. President wants a word with you before you settle in for the night."

"I'm still getting used to that." Kirby said with a smirk. "You were just Nick's sexy secretary."

"Still a sexy secretary but I'm also an Agent and I got a ship. Lot changed in a half decade." Kassie said and flipped her an iso chip. "You aren't the only blonde he trusts. Back pay and your updated Intel access codes, you kinda took off before we had a chance to give them to you."

"Thanks... dunno if I'm still an agent but I'll consider it." Kirby said and slipped her sunglasses on. "Enjoy your chat with Price, from what I hear he's as posh a Brit as you."

"I heard that!" Jon said as he rolled the window down slightly. "Nice to have you back Agent Ryder. Leftenant... a word if you please?"

Ashley sighed, and gave Kirby a pleading look. I just want to be bloody left alone, she thought to herself. Sighing she stepped out of the car," Cheerio mate."

She slid into the back seat of the other car and glanced around before she let her eyes settle on Jon. "I'm here. What can I help you with sir?"

"Oh I was hoping you would ask that of me." Jon said as she dropped a paper file folder in her lap. "i know your life with your sister and your family is complex, but I am a proper British citizen and I would be remiss in not being there to help a member of the royal family." he cocked his head slightly and smiled. "I am pretty sure you want nothing to do with the Royal family or anything else given what you went through. This is a new life. If you want it that is. I married into a pretty powerful family, but this is all me. What little clout the Price name still has, Emperor Kaikoa Lei assures me that if you ever returned to Earth, you are free to go wherever you want. Although I would hope you'd remain on Terra Alpha, it's a good place. I didn't spend a fortune campaigning if I didn't think the Alliance wasn't worth it."

Jon sighed as he looked out the window. "I know what it's like to have a horrid family and being pushed into something you really don't want." he looked at her. "It's entirely your call what you do, but I think we can find a place for you here."
