Healing...

The powers that be attempt peace while forces from darker realities try to take over our reality by any means necessary.

"They'll wonder who gave it to me." Bartyn reminded her. "I got no reason to lie and say it wasn't you."

Solara shrugged, she didn't care if they knew she'd been to see Bartyn. Chances were they'd be watching her come morning after her outbursts in the war room.

"They know about you and K'n'zy." Solara said as she walked over to the slot and picked up the bottle. "They'll try to exploit it and convince you to join the cause. Hell they might even send in Kinsey whenever she shows up. I know you haven't been home in awhile. The longest time, if I'm not mistaken, you might cave or you might not. I'll just hang on to this bottle for when you change your mind."

"You think I'm like your dad... I'm not. We may look alike, even fucked some of the same women in other realities but we're not the same. Been without regular K'n'zy time for over two years, my dick doesn't control me. All I need is the iljuna and blood." he smiled and looked her in the eye. "Thanks for the drink. But I'm loyal to only one K'n'zy and your knock off ain't her."

Solara laughed coldly, "This is the longest conversation I've had with my 'father' since I've been on Terra Alpha. Just do me a favor...when they come in the morning don't make it easy for them. Especially, if my sister's there."

"Like I'm making it easy for you?" Bartyn chuckled. "All I did was share a little pointless stuff and a drink. Broke up the monotony of meditation and plotting. I almost have an escape plan. You only delayed it. Maybe you should talk to your father while you still can. He's not safe once I'm out. I tend to kill my counterparts. I don't like other's wearing my face."

"You assume I'd care." Solara countered as she sat the remote control on the security station and walked towards the door.

Kalia was waiting at the door and cocked her head at Solara. "So you get anything worthwhile besides a buzz?" she said with a glance at the bottles. "I envy you, half a bottle of whiskey and you don't look even halfway drunk." she crossed her arms and re-secured the room. "Normally I'd be grumpy as hell about you going in there, especially after what I was told of your outburst at the debrief... but pfft... not the first time I've had a bottle with someone I was trying to interrogate. Bartyn's going to be moved. If it were up to me, I'd dump him in the ocean. But that's me."

"You trying being questioned with a migraine. I bet you'd have outbursts too." Solara said with a dismissive laugh and handed one of the bottles to Kalia. "Here save it for later it's a good vintage."

"I will." Kalia said and looked at her. "But you didn't answer my question... he tell you anything new? Let anything slip that could be useful, because, far as I can tell... he's too stubborn to give up anything useful in our search. And I'm not about to tell General Talon that we can't find his wife because of this guy."

"Nope not a thing." Solara said with a disappointed frown. "We just kind of stared at each other."
