"That's part of why I'm taking the time off, so I can be with both my girls. Little Trinity is growing before my eyes and your's... she's going to need some time and maybe a sparring partner. Besides, you know what Intel will be like when she's home after so long away, they're going to want to interrogate her or keep her in secure lock up, which maybe isn't the worst thing, but I think we can keep her at the Ranch, keep her busy so that when and if she decides to go back to work the worst of it'll have blown over."

"Oh my gosh... can you two stop talking for two seconds?" Cece said as she walked into Ethan's office. "You never thought to ask me? The woman that brought you into this timeline if MAYBE I had something faster? Which I do happen to have." she looked at Angel and shook her head. "I will take care of this. Just take care of you. TRUST ME." she pointed at her face on the screen. "You need this time off. You are a complete and total bitch in the future timeline and if you keep this up, you're gonna be there sooner than later. I love you like another mother, you made me who I am but for the love of all that's holy... take the time off. Put the uniform in the closet. Have another kid. Just get your mojo back."

"Yes ma'am... so that's from the President's office?" Angel said with an amused expression.

"Whatever it takes, I can have Price make it official if you want." Cece said with a wink. "I AM Chief of Staff after all, I have the entire executive branch at my fingertips... which reminds me... nails." she pulled off her gloves. "You need to get me into Tua Chau's salon once we get Trinity back. Ethan... got fifteen minutes." Cece buttoned up her jacket and tapped a small control on her wrist and a slim metal box appeared. "Dad's not the only one with a time pod, we can be at Trinity's position in minutes."

[Ethan Talon]

He turned to Kalia, "Well, Ms. Lei you have the division. Would you get with the regimental COs. With Trinity back I want to reschedule the wat games."

[Kalia Lei]

"They'll hate me for rescheduling them but whatever I'm used to people hating me." Kalia said and unzipped her jacket. "Go get our girl boss."

[Ethan Talon]

"They'll get over it. Lean on Colonel MacDonald. He'll support you, and he'll get Colonel Murphy on your side and they will browbeat the rest into accepting it."

[Kalia Lei]

"Gee, last time I leaned on MacDonald he blushed." Kalia said with a smirk. "Hey I was the one legged bitch in the Imperium, that worked for me when I needed it. Who knows, maybe I'll formally transfer to the Corps. Green and black does rather suit my skin tone."

[Trinity Talon]

Meanwhile --

Trinity was evading Ajem fighters while trying to keep their small shuttle from being hit.

"Kat... I could really use a hand up here!" Trinity called over her shoulder. "Dylan... dude... just keep holding that compress."

"Bloody Ferengi shuttles... Erebus... can you lock onto us now?" Meat said over the comm as he looked at the piece of console that was sticking out of his side.

"Negative Commander... the Ajem have launched chaff into space, we're having a hard time locking onto you... you're going to need to get within range or just dock." a transport operator replied.

"Well that's just bullshit..." Trinity muttered. "I sure hope those two don't remember all the language we're using today... because... we've got an Ajem fighter heading right for us." she grimaced. "Die you fuckers!" she screamed as she increased the density of their forward shield and literally tore through the shuttle like a knife through a roll.

"You get really foul mouthed when you're angry..." Dylan commented.

"I have spent the last six months getting pawed at, having to bite my tongue, and acting like I don't really and truly hate those people." Trinity replied. "I want to go home... '

[Lehona Sunstrider]

The Erebus lumbered into position as its nible fighters streaked towards the Ajem fighters. A flight of two Alliance fighters rolled in behind the four of the enemy following the shuttle, and lashed out destroying two. The other two broke off and the Erebus fighters followed in pursuit.


Kat made her way into the cockpit and peered in, "Aye lass. What canae do?"

"Just keep them off our ass." Trinity replied. "Shields aren't as strong back there after those hits we took." she closed her eyes a moment and focused. "I'm going to take us into a roll... think you can target them with one hit each?"
