Homecoming
Ethan stretched luxuriously in his own bed, the sun was peeking over the Sangre de Cristos, Mount Archer framed neatly in the widow.
Outside a rooster crowed, and a horse nickered as the latch to one of gates clunked open. Ethan could heard David's gruff voice, "Calm down there Jake, let me get it into your feeder."
Ethan grinned he loved this ranch, and if God willed it, it would be where he rested his bones. He rolled over and kissed Trinity on the forehead. An unusual occurrence, as his wife slept little and usually rose well before he did. "Languishing in uselessness this morning dear?"

Re: Homecoming
"I missed this bed." Trinity said, her eyes still closed. "And you, but mostly this bed. Now I know why the Ajem are so cranky, their mattresses are for shit, we have better bed rolls than they had mattresses." she sighed as she opened her eyes and looked at her husband. "But yes, I am going to languish my tiny ass off."

Re: Homecoming
Ethan chuckled, and slid out of bed. He bent down and pulled on his pants, "I was thinking about riding over to Olivia's and Jena's and see our niece and nephew. Besides that, I think David is going to kill my horse if I don't give him some exercise."

Re: Homecoming
"Yeah I know that sound quite well..." Trinity said as she yawned and stretched out. "I'll join you... it's been months since I last rode anything. Well, besides you..." she teased and looked around and chuckled lightly as she recalled pretty much only wearing her cloak into the house when they arrived. "I probably SHOULD at least get dressed... I stay like this, you'll never get anything accomplished today."

Re: Homecoming
"How little faith you have in me my dear," Ethan teased. "I seem to recall I got out of bed from the most beautiful naked woman in the entire universe, and not once did I try to make a move on her."

Re: Homecoming
"Only because I wore you out last night." Trinity said with a smile. "And I wouldn't exactly say I'm the most beautiful naked woman in the universe but you're sweet so I'll take it." she giggled lightly and got up out of the bed and slid into her pumps. "Oh and these feel way better... I am not used to flats, even my work boots have a bit of a heel. I had no idea how much I missed the compartments in my heels." she picked up her boot and opened the secret compartment on the heel and pulled out a key. "Keys, isolinear chips, some coins, lipstick... it's like a purse I wear on my feet."

Re: Homecoming
He stretched, and picked up his gray t-shirt from the floor and pulled it on over his head, and he rand his fingers through his hair to flatten the worst of the mess. "I don't think I'd like things rattling around in my shoes. Even if they were useful, and those damned things look uncomfortable." He shrugged, "Each to their own I reckon. Come I think I can smell coffee, and I think Mrs. Ackers is frying bacon."

Trinity pulled her boots on and shrugged her shoulders. "They don't really jingle, there's a special gel inside that holds them in place." she said as she walked over to the closet pulled out a flannel shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. "By the way... I promised Kat I'd help her get settled today with the Narlin kids. Thinking the original bunk house before we built the new one. Should be decent enough for her and the two infants, at least it's semi-private. Give her the normalcy she's never really experienced."

"If you think that's best. The youngins probably should be with their people. There's the Narlin settlement."

"Well with Magnus and his wife... gone... and Kahlina dead..." Trinity sighed heavily. "Not sure who they're really safe with. They're all the exist of Stormtalon's reign."
