Homecoming

After the deaths of so many, it is time to rally and fight back. The Alliance is put through it's greatest test since it's founding, but can it retain its soul and the ideals they fought so long and hard to uphold? Will the darkness overtake the light? Will the Alpha and Beta Quadrants be the same when the dust settles?

"If they are stopped what else is there to do?" Ethan ask, his coffee halfway to his lips.

"Well, you can worry about that tomorrow dears," Mrs. Ackers interrupted. "You're home, let's not ruin it by talking about such dreadful things."

Trinity nodded her head in agreement, despite the thoughts swirling in her head of the 'what else's' things that would make Ethan go grey instantly. "Yeah, I'm planning on enjoying my first full day back home... I really did miss your cooking Mrs. Ackers. So Ethan, will you still think I'm the most beautiful woman in the galaxy if I put on a few more pounds?" she teased as she poked his side. "That DOES tend to happen when you get your wife pregnant."

"It looks like ye lost a wee bit o' weight to me lass." A gruff male voice said from the kitchen entrance. Dougal grinned widely, "it's bloody good to see ya Colonel. Ye ken there's a Highlander lass on yer front porch with two Narlin weans?"

"Yeah that's Kat... and Simon and Lilith." Trinity said before taking a sip of coffee. "Alternate reality version of Kat Donovan. Former Ajem'dasis. Promised her I'd help her make a fresh start here. And I am staying true to that word. Oh and if anyone gives her crap, they deal with me." she gestured with her hand and picked up a half of an orange and used the Iljuna to squeeze it into a glass. "OJ Dougal?"

"Spent the past six months on an Ajem'dasis run ship... you pick up things." Trinity said with a sigh. "I was trained by the Ajem, but I tried to separate the bad from the useful. Kind of more on the grey side of things. Doubt the Jase'dasis will exactly welcome me with open arms. Not that I really care, it's another skill, another tool I can use. I won't use it to dominate like they do or manipulate for their selfish reasons, nor will I simply step back and let things happen. Not quite the life I want to raise my children in." she closed her eyes. "I... actually had a vision while I was training, Ethan and I and a couple of kids of our own."

"Aye lass. It's a shit galaxy, but you'll do," Dougal said. "Will ye be coming ta see the bairns? Aimee's sent me over ta ask ya General. Since yer home I assume she'd want you to come as well lass," added to Trinity.

He grinned, "Well, when a lassie likes a lad and they ken that they love each other..." He laughed, "Truth be told, she is out of my league to be sure. But, if you must know I met her as the good Captain of the freighter Idun. She brought us here from Earth, and the only one to charge a fair price. The other captains kent well enough thay we were desperate to get away from Imperium Inspectors."

"She did a lot of good on that ship. I'm glad Liv is getting her a new one, old Walker class, but it's a beautiful old ship." Trinity said and sipped her coffee. "Well, I do wish you two the best... if anyone can help her with half Klingon children, it's you. Ethan and I knew a few of them before we came to this timeline, not the easiest people to get along with, always at odds with both sides of themselves.
