Hope We Can Again

[Dominus]

"I thought you were getting a quarter million..." Dominus said and rolled his eyes. "I suppose that would be enough to do some of what you wanted. Just remember, Terra Alpha and Xenex are off the table, we'll spare them. After all, when this is done, we may need a planet that we can relax upon. We are both starting to get far too pale." he flexed his hand and looked at the viewscreen. "Soon we will crush any hope of resistance."

[Bellatrix]

"Cloning takes time Dominus," Bellatrix said with an edge to her voice. You significantly moved up our timetable. I can give you one-million this time next year, quarter million in a month."

"How is your little Kinsey project going father?" Ian asked trying to keep the peace.

[Dominus]

"Quite well. This was her's and Jack's work. Jack pacified the population, Kinsey ended it." Dominus replied. "Ophelia's process worked better than expected, they both are in line with our thinking, their moral compass has firmly been shifted. A little sensory deprivation, some time dilation directed to the brain... a few lifetimes lived in the span of a few days... I would like to try it on some others. Perhaps General Mattis... "

[Bellatrix]

"Could be interesting. I still want to kill my counterpart. There is no room in this universe for two of us let alone three. Especially for someone as weak and useless as the Admiral." Bellatrix said with venom.

[Dominus]

"I think that death will be our victory lap... besides, the Admiral has been a good practice dummy for the acolytes. They get tossed around a little, but they're connecting 8 times out of 10. Better than the 4 out of 10..." he said with an annoyed expression. "Where in the name of hate did you find some of these? I know they are fodder but I've had half mindless slaves more capable."

[Bellatrix]

"But slaves don't believe in our cause with all that they are. They will kill our enemies without hesitation, because they are Ajem'dasis. Slaves, by their very definition cannot be Ajem'dasis, nor do they understand why their existence in our army is so vital. The only thing that keeps slaves going is hope. You and I both have little use for hope."

[Dominus]

"Other than our hope that we can again subjugate a reality to our will... before we leave it a shell of what it was... where the strong survive and the weak perish." Dominus said as he crossed his arms. "Are you coming aboard or are you just getting equipped?"

[Bellatrix]

She shrugged, "Okay, I can. And we can work on a backup plan for the twins. One can never have too many heirs. Besides, a woman has her needs even if we are better at controlling ourselves than men."

[Dominus]

"Always good to have a backup." Dominus agreed. "We did pretty well with the Twins..." he glanced at Ophelia who looked like she was deep in thought as she looked at a monitor. "Besides... you and I could do with a little... fun before we get into another battle. It may take us a while before we're able to take time together."

[Bellatrix]

"Then it is settled," Bellatrix said standing up. She pressed a series of commands into a bracelet and she materialized on the bridge of Dominus' ship.

"Ophelia dear," she started. "Do keep an eye on Jack and Kensey. I don't trust them and neither should you."
