"I had time to prepare." Jack said with a wink of his eye. "Obviously I wasn't going to bring armor or anything bulky, but... " he opened a portal and pulled out her armor's gauntlet. "Not quite your powers, but we're not trying to kill anyone, just remind them that it hurt a bit when they got in our way."

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" one of the agents shouted as he leveled a phaser rifle at them. "We don't want to shoot you... but we will."

Neither do I." Jack said calmly and gestured as he opened a portal at their feet and made them disappear. "I put them across the street. In the dumpster. Okay so I'm still pissed."

She smiled at him as she adjusted the setting on the gauntlet to stun.

“When we’re out of here you’re going to explain this portal thing to me right?” Kinsey inquired. “In your sexy voice so I can pretend I don’t understand. Just so I can listen to you talk.”

"Of course, it's actually something you could probably use even more easily." Jack said as he pulled out a long string like thing from his sleeve and snapped it which became a small micro force field that stopped the other agents from firing at them. "You remember all those concepts I had come up with the last time we were in time dilation? Multiply that by about 230. Also... I rather like this Victorian suit I picked up when I was helping Carly. Oh and I know where our Cece is... but I'm not going to swing by to stop and pick her up... I've got this sense that she's where she needs to be." he grabbed a couple of bottles from a case intended for the bar and shook them up and placed a couple small caps on the base and threw them creating a fireball and micro plastic explosion as they turned the corner and ran up the stairs to the bar's mezzanine level. Where he glanced around and a dozen agents blocked the entrance to the 'secret' access to the living quarters and the regular. "Oh cheeky buggers. Hold on." he held her tighter and created a portal that he jumped into with her and ended up Nick's living room. "Almost there..." he said and stepped on a froggy which made a loud squeak. "Oh bloody... hello Alice... " he deadpanned as he glanced over his shoulder. "We aren't going to hurt you or Gale... just getting to our pod. Oh and your powers aren't working because dad set the dampers to maximum gotta love paranoia eh?"

“Well now I know why he was so angry.” Alice said as she stood there with her hands on her hips. “To say I’m not pleased to see either of you would be an understatement. But if you’d like to actually tell me what’s going on, I’d be more than willing to listen. Judging by the sound coming from downstairs it’s one hell of a story.”

“Gale comeback you have to finish your picture.” Jason said as he ran into the room after a teetering Gale who was clutching onto another Froggie.

“Jason.” Kinsey said in surprise as she took a step towards him.

“Mommy!” He exclaimed and ran towards her just a agents burst into the room.

Jack gestured and opened a portal and the agent disappeared, throwing a small glob at the door it grew and kept it from being opened. "FAMILY TIME GUYS! Bloody..." he muttered and looked at Alice. "They're fine, just across the street in a men's room I think. Maybe the ladies. Targeting isn't super accurate."

"Jason..." Jack looked at his son and crouched down. "Mommy and I are going to be... going away for a while." he put a small data stick in his hand. "We still love you very very much, but we aren't who you need right now. Listen to Bella and Jon... and Grandma Alice."

“Are you in trouble?” Jason asked innocently.

Kinsey pulled him closed and hugged him tightly.

“Mommy did something that was bad, but I did it for the right reasons.” Kinsey told him softly. “No matter what anyone says remember that. Everything we do is to protect you, your brother and your sisters.”

He nodded as he held tightly to her, tears running down his cheeks. Kinsey didn’t want to let him go either. When she looked over at Jack she was crying.

Jack held the two of them and whispered. "Maybe we'll come back every so often. And if you ever really really need us. You call us." he held his hand around the datachip he gave him. "Your big sister Carly can figure it out. But for now... your mommy and I need to go and wait until some of this blows over. It's going to be scary, but you are stronger than you realize, smarter than you think and capable of so much. Your little brother and your sisters... be better than us. "

Jason nodded as he looked at the chip in his hand.

“I love.” Kinsey told him as she wiped at his cheeks.

“Jack, Nicholas is your father. You were prisoners there has to be something that we can work out.” Alice kindly.

“You always did have a kind heart Alice.” Kinsey said as she looked up at her. “But I can’t be locked up anymore. They kept me locked up for months in the dark…I can’t.”

“Kinsey…”

“I can’t take the chance.”

"I spent... lifetimes, more than I care to count in my head." Jack said as he looked at Alice. "Dominus is less of a threat compared to his daughter and thankfully... Kinsey snapped her neck. Of course, who bloody knows if that really did her in, she studied us both. But we did learn one lesson... we can't stick to these old morality plays of 'good guys vs bad guys' we're all the same..." he sighed heavily. "It was a genuine pleasure working with you and I left you something as well. Evolve. Move beyond all this, because it's going to end this universe in fire and not even you my pyrokinetic friend, can survive that."

“I know. I’ve seen it and I always thought it was I who brought it about.” Alice said as she took Jason’s hand. “Take care of yourself Jackson Ryder. Out of all of my children you were my favorite.”
