“Good.” Selene said with a grin. “I may take advantage of it.”

"Have some fun with it." Ally said as she gestured to Tess's suite. "I'll be out here. Tess is still on leave since Clint's alternate from another reality blew up a wing of this place and killed her husband, Leo. So I have to keep people that want to drag her into meetings out, but she made an exception for you."

"Ally... you make it sound like I only treat family now?" Tess said as she walked out of her office and put a pot of coffee back into the replicator. "I'm coming back next week, I just... have plans this weekend. Hello Selene... I'm Dr. Tess Ryder. Noonian forwarded me the scans he took, he was right to have you come in. There's an infection and some shrapnel that I managed to see. Clint's a fine field medic, but I still recommend an actual visit to a sickbay or hospital after something like that. Higher resolution scanners." she said with a smile. "Tali, feel free to wait out here, I'll take care of Selene."

"I'll get you some tea." Ally offered and went off to the little 'lounge' area around the corner.

Tess closed the door and motioned to the exam table. "Before we begin, have you noticed any other issues since you came to our reality? Some of our other travelers experience headaches or eye blurriness, ringing in their ears. Each reality has a bit different vibrational pattern and it throws off people with sensitive senses like augments." she said while scanning her with her tricorder. "My own alternate, Teri, came here with the worst migraines, ignored it for weeks, thinking it was like the migraines we both grew up with... but it was the world that was giving her a headache. A little rebalancing and she was back to normal."

“I came through on Xenex. The light seemed brighter but I figured it was just the planet but I adjusted after awhile. As for nightmares...I have them they’re a byproduct of my life. I’m sure my counterpart did to but I haven’t had them since I’ve been here.” Selene said and blushed slightly. “I seem to be more sensitive to touch but I’m not sure if that’s a result of this reality. Same with my sense of smell.”

"Well I can do a few things to ease it, but our's always had heightened senses and... if you're talking about... intimate contact. She and Clint... " Tess chuckled. "When he got the transfusion, they were nearly inseparable. But let me run it through the system and see what we're dealing with, usually it's just an overactive part of the nervous system and it's a simple treatment. The touch and smell thing, that's part of you." she smiled and pulled out a toolkit. "In the meantime, let's fix up that wound" she passed a device over the spot that Clint healed up and then switched to another. "There... that's a bit better. Give it a day or so and you'll be fine. Now... our Selene had some 'things' done to her by Jackson that made her artificially unable to conceive unless he 'allowed' it. I see you've been 'fixed' a bit differently." she glanced at her tricorder. "It's not entirely irreversible, it's effective and still no guarantees, but if you do start noticing anything weird, let me know. I've seen a few women with a similar birth control performed on them. It basically stops you from ovulating but you still are capable of it, your augment dna does try its best to repair things."

Pulling up a holographic version of Selene she pointed to a spot on the model. "See, your tubes while they were cut, are regenerating. I could repair it, but given that a family isn't probably your main concern, we can leave it be. Normally this would be permanent but augment bodies are remarkable, my son burned off most of the tissue on his hand nearly 40 years ago and even with a mostly artificial hand, his body still grows new tissue and nerves over the inorganic parts. That's why your senses are so much more acute, your body is constantly rebuilding itself."

“Did she come to you a lot?” Selene inquired as she studied the scans. Wondering if her father knew her body would eventually undo what he’d done to it or if he’d planned to for breeding purposes. She couldn’t think of any other reason he would.

[Tess Ryder]

"Oh pretty often. Your... her father and I saw you quite a bit once she and Clint decided they wanted to actively try for a family of their own. Jackson had put something inside of her that prevented her from bringing a child to term, and she had at least a couple of miscarriages. Noonian and I and Jack had figured out what he did and were able to reverse it and prevent her body from treating a fetus as an invader and doing what it naturally does to any foreign body within it." she brought up a scan of Selene's reproductive system. "Given that I have a full molecular scan of your counterpart, I could reverse whatever was done to you. IF you wanted that later of course. Of course, given that you do have plenty of differences from your counterpart we'd have to run additional tests and such before we attempted that."

Tess leaned against the desk and looked at her. "May I ask, if you and Clint are already getting that close?"

“We’re having sex.” Selene said bluntly.

"You certainly got to work quicker than your counterpart. Took them months to finally do the deed." Tess said with a smile. "Well, for now you shouldn't have any problems and you two could have marathons for weeks at a time. BUT... you need to drink a bit more water and a little less Moscato. You may have a very efficient system, but you're a little dehydrated. Course so is half the Navy and almost every Intelligence operative on the planet. At least drink a little more tea." she walked over to a small rolling cart and pulled out a couple of vials and a hypospray case. "I'm going to give you a little first aid kit to keep at your place, better meds and better tools. Been trying to get these kits out to you agents more and replace the old Starfleet era kits you've been using. And I know it's none of my business other than being a doctor, but if you do sleep with anyone other than Clint Cross..." she held up another vial. "Not everyone is as safe. I gave up decades ago at trying to get Intelligence operatives to practice abstinence on the job, just be safe. I am giving you a clean bill of health and I see no reason why N.I. can't put you in the field whenever there's a mission for you. Welcome to the family Selene."

[Liara]

“I’m an assassin doctor. Sometimes my job requires me to sleep with my targets sometimes I can kill them before that happens. It depends on the mission perimeters. Of course that was before coming here. I suspect the missions maybe different now.” Selene said as she slid off the table and took the vials and case. “My partner maybe to attached.”

"She... did a few missions like that after they were together, how far she went I don't know. Still, a quick scan... those new glasses Natalia's trying to get into circulation, should help. We used to have a contact lens that did the same thing, but it was giving people headaches and then they'd lose a contact lens. Ever since the Imperium fell and Dominus and Jackson have had the Scions around, there've been more than a few novel viruses and diseases going around." Tess said as she closed the holographic displays. "Oh I should give you this." she gave her another hypo. "There are some really powerful designer drugs going around and you live above a bar. Just in case. You may not be the Selene I know, but you're still an agent and you're new to my planet, so... I would be a horrible ambassador if I let anything happen to you that I could have prevented."
