[Liara]

“Yes.” Selene replied. “At least he went by that name. Jackson hired me to kill him. It was a...difficult mission but I succeeded. My father wasn’t pleased, though, he thought the mission was sloppy.”

[Clint Cross]

"Considering how many versions of Dominus have been sighted, I'm not shocked it was messy." Clint replied. "And how you're the second Selene from a reality where a Jackson and Dominus were in full power. Now if only we could figure out how to cross realities, I doubt any Dominus would last long against an army of us."

[Liara]

“Do you really think every version would be willing to help?” Selene inquired looking over at him. “If you came to my reality I’d probably kill you. I’d probably have no choice. I’m working with you because I can’t go back and if I somehow did Jackson would punish me for my betrayal. If Lucius didn’t beat him to it.”

[Clint Cross]

"Good thing only you came over with Tali and not everyone else." Clint replied. "We did find evidence of other versions of you that did not fare nearly as well long term. Fact that you survived this long... just proves you're what we need here." he gripped the wheel and took a breath. "And if your Jackson shows his face, we'll make sure he gets the hint that he's not welcome here. Now if a GOOD version of him came around, I'd welcome him with open fuckin' arms... I liked our Jack and our KInsey, they were our best friends. Hell, they gave us our wedding and engagement rings. Their daughter married us. We lived in their apartment on Byron for a long time. "

[Liara]

“Is that a hint of protectiveness I hear Cross?” Selene inquired with a bit of a smile. “I don’t think you’ll have to worry about anyone from my reality showing up. Unless they figured out how your Jack did it.”

[Clint Cross]

"That's what worries me." Clint said as he glanced at the monitor on the dash. "Sensors are picking up... oh awesome... twenty five people in that building we're heading for." he tapped a control and set the internal shields. "We'll set up here." he pointed to a spot on the sensor map. "Leave the car here." he pointed to another spot. "Upside, there's plenty of cover. Downside... there's plenty of cover."

[Liara]

“For a Hawk maybe.” Selene smirked. “We’ll make it work.”

[Clint Cross]

"Oh I'm sure we will. Just remember to engage the personal shield in your suit." Clint replied as he pointed out the spot on his jacket. "It'll still kick like a mule, but better the kick than getting taken out by some lucky shot." he pulled into the spot where he decided to park the SUV. "All my agents wear them now. Not just because of Selene, but... I don't like anyone of my people getting taken out easily. Someone takes down a Naval Intel agent, they're going to have to work for it."

“A personal shield?” Selene raised an eyebrow. “Now how am I suppose to impress you?”

[Clint Cross]

"Oh I am entirely sure you'll find someway." Clint said with a smirk as he slid his seat back and rotated it so he could get his gear. "As much as I want to snipe these bastards... they're too far into the building. So, up close and personal." he slid a couple of machine pistols into his thigh holsters. "Want anything bigger than the handguns?"
